Do you have any idea what these new weapons do or is everyone just assuming they'll give an advantage?

This being the internet I'm tempted to go with the latter.
This. How does anyone know these guns give an advantage? Have you played the game yet? If so let me know, I'd love to play it ahead of time with all the balancing done and polished.
Choice where other people do not have a choice = advantage.
No. No it does not. They have a gun, you have a gun. In a realistic shooter, the more accurate player will win the firefight. Everything else doesn't matter. Stop moaning and suck it up. You want the cool stuff, pre-order it. You want to complain? Complain all you want. But when you play the game, you'll see that in the large scale battles, it really won't affect gameplay much at all because, like in BFBC2 - You can have a more powerful gun and armour, yet still be killed by someone who is accurate.

Stop complaining.
No thank you. If I'm 1% more accurate than you I'm better than you but you have a 2% better gun you will win more often despite me being a better shot.

Additional external factors which affect balance. Pass on game.
Yes, because accuracy can be measured accurately in large scale battles in percentages.

One on one, there may be a weapon advantage, but that will be the case with ANY FUCKING WEAPON THE GAME GIVES YOU! I can't imagine the muzzle flash suppressor being any use when they're thirty feet away from you, and the armour piercing shotgun will hardly cause any harm from mid-long range. The advantages are more to do with the situation rather than the guns potentially slightly higher stats. And more than likely those advantages will also have a disadvantage, I can imagine the sniper will be less powerful with a suppressor.

I can make my stance no clearer, but I didn't think you'd actuall go for the percentage thing. That's arbitrary and can't be calculated, but it doesn't mean something isn't more effective.

What's the harm in letting everyone use a situational weapon? I'm kind of done here, I know where I stand. I'm not against pre-order DLC per se, like the LA Noire shit, but this is the only example I can think of which affects multiplayer gameplay (In a game I'd consider playing)

Gun skins? Cool sure go ahead
Single player unlocks like that Vault Canteen? Whatever
Extra levels like the Map packs and LA noire's cases? Sure!
Early unlocks? Eh.. I'll settle, rather there be no levelling at all but that's the status quo
Pay to win/gameplay affecting DLC? Pass on game.
Exclusive DLC which affect balance? Pass

Ok, the DLC it adds includes a Day 1 unlock - the shotgun - which is available TO UNLOCK THROUGH GAMEPLAY

The only Unique parts are the extra ammo for the shotgun, The LMG, which isn't the most powerful in the game and armour, which acts as Ceramic armour did in Bad company 2.

That is it. You can unlock the "OVERPOWERED" shotgun, the rest is a nice little bonus to the fans who decided to pre-order it.

Lets also be honest, even the more powerful ammo isn't going to be unbalanced, because unless your at close range it makes no difference.

The LMG has been use in a few Battlefield games before and there has always been more powerful guns than it.

So, really it's not that over-powered...

SOURCE?! I WENT TO GAME AND PRE-ORDERED IT AND READ THE DLC INFO.

EA needs to watch Extra Credits more. They seem to be failing at making a few game design decisions lately (which they need to fix before ME3).
