Winterized T-51b Power Armor because it may only have 45 DR compared to the regular T-51b's 50, but it never needs to be repaired.
What? It never needs to be repaired?!

I've been using the Inferno Armour all this time because I thought the Winterized would just break and I'd never find another suit to fix it with.

Bah! I laugh at your ''fancy pants amazing'' Armor. The Medic armor always makes me smile, and thats what I shall wear til my characters final day. It pales in comparison to some of the other stuff, just the voice sells it to me :)

Another Reilly's fan, if only because it's the best non-power armor DR-wise and I hate the pneumatic sound that power armor makes when you move. It gives good stats, is easy to repair, and looks pretty damn badass.

I only played the game for a few days and beat the main storyline so the best armor I could get was that Brotherhood something-or-other armor prior to the end mission.

I'd have delved more into it but it was a rental and it sucked trying to play it over a PS3 controller. I'll have more of an opinion when I can get a PC version of it.
whats so bad about it over the ps3? i've dabbled in the game over all 3 things its on, and the pc has all the mod's and cheats you can mess with otherwise there isn't much of a difference

OT: the best armor is the vault 101 suit.period.
Well like I said it's not a matter of content or cheats or anything, I just found the PS3 controls really tedious. The game itself is fine (wonderful more or less).
i think i understand, overall i dont like the ps3 controller, the 360 controller fits my hands PERFECTLY, near airtight perfectly, so i love playing with that, the ps3 controller has the triggers going the wrong way, bad placement half the time, and the grips/handles are not human shaped at all, but i dont believe that is what you were necessarily going at, i can see to some degree why you might not have liked the ps3 experience with it

fallout 3 for the pc is probably mucho better for you
holy crap im an alien the ps3 controller fits my hands perfectly probably because i made them mold my hands to it down at the plastic surgery joint:3

It's probably been said a ton of times already, but the T-51B Winterised Power Armor. It's nigh indestructible. The only way to even DENT the armor is to stand in a pile of at least 20 super mutants for hours while constantly healing, and even then, that might just cause a 5% decrease.

Tesla Armor. Excellent DR and awesome-looking. My most frequently used is actually a Merc Veteran outfit, though. Mainly because it looks badass.

The T51-b has the highest DR rating in the game, so I'd go with that.
isnt that the winterized power armor? if so.. not only does it have one of the best DRs... it never gets damaged... i rest my case :D

ive used it for an entire playthrough.. and never ONCE had to repair it.. thats strange.. i thought it was indestructible.. maybe i've just been lucky lol

I mostly used the Ranger Battle Armor after receiving it because it was easy to repair.
I eventually switched to the Tribal Power Armor though, as it seemed like a better choice.

My favourite is the prototype medic armour. It's not the best armour in the game, nor the most useful, but it's amusing and I like it. I find it gets a bit boring if I never have any chance of losing anyway, so the super armour just decorates my house.
I quite like the Hellfire helmets too. Just because they look a bit pig like.

The Winterized T51-b only has a DR of 45, and not having to repair it is just a glitch.

My favorite is Riley's Ranger Armor, but if you get Operation Anchorage you can get Winterized T-51b Power Armor. I heard that it's nearly indestructible.

Supposedly it has an item health of one million.
