Good games library and affordable: Xbox 360. It can be unreliable, but I'm still on my 1st after 2 years.

Expensive, but with great graphics: PS3. It does, however, have a much smaller games library, and they all cost a lot.

Entertaining, especially with a group: Wii. They have a good list of games too, although they are well known to not be "hardcore" -shudder- gaming systems. They are definitely at their best if you play with a group alot.

The first two are probably best for single player.

I recommend the 360, but that's mainly because it's the one I'm most used to. The other 2 have their merits but I'm cheap and like a normal controller over a motion sensor.

OT: The ps2 of course! Nobody can match that awesome console.

So I am thinking of getting a new console and I was hoping you guys could offer some advice.
Keep the flames on low, please, I'm just doing a little research before spending a shitload of money on something with no resale value. Each system has games that I like, so I was thinking that perhaps some of you who have more console experience than myself could help me to make an informed decision.

Also, as a helpful person pointed out, I need to point out the stuff I like so as to try and avoid a flamewar.

Things on Wii: Animal crossing and mario
Things on Xbox 360: Fable 2
Things on PS3: Rachet and clank

Also I really like my PC. I am a WoW head and love diablo and starcraft and all those good ones.
I own a N64, a gamecube, a ps2, and a ds.
Thanks again
Fable 2 is shite

I have the 360 because it is friendly to you until it dies. Then again mine has never gone wrong...yet.

If I have on gripe it is that I WANT RACHET and CLANK.

Otherwise

If you enjoy online then the 360 is a must.
