I've actually wanted to give Ska a chance but have no idea where to start. I listen to Bob Marley and like it but other than that I don't know. Any good suggestions, pleas feel free to tell me.

I only listen to industrial pussy punk.

That's totally not true, but I feel annoyed with stuff like this. Musical taste is so personal and subjective.

Stop telling people that their taste is bad, it isn't. It's just different to yours.

I love Metal! CoB, In Flames, Slipknot, Trivium, Dragonforce, and all that stuff. Also like bands like Billy Talent and guitarists like Vai, John 5, Gilbert and Satriani.

Drums and Bass kick some serious ass bud. they made some of the best Rock n' Roll and Metal bands(especially metal) what they are. Plus Drummers and Bassists are some of the coolest dudes out there. Theres almost nobody as awesome as Geezer Butler or Killmister and there is no drummer better than Neil Peart! XD

A couple things.

1) Rock n' Roll and Metal should be the same option.
2) Techno should be Electronica
3) Jazz goes in the empty spot.

Seriously dude, jazz is the basis of 90% of all modern rock/hip-hop/rap/ska/metal/pop.
That's way too many slashes not to have is own option.
How is Rock n' Roll and Metal similar? There is a difference between Elvis and Cannibal Corpse.

I'm in a funk band so I will say funk.

I would also like to add that Rock'n'Roll is not the same as Rock. Rock music can be used to describe all popular music from the 50s onwards, Rock'n'Roll is a style of music.

Yeah, everyone is an arsehole when you talk about music..

I voted hip hop simply because it's what I listen to the most but ideologicaly I prefer dance (of which techno is a subgenre).

It annoys me when people say that gangsta rap and intelligence are mutual exclusives.

"rapping fire, you better run for the pacifier
tie you up and drown you in the saliva quagmire
till your oxygen expires and your lungs dry up
'cause you said Bis ain't dope, you a damn liar
disaster for hire over beats by pious
flow like the Tigris, Euphrates, with the Eye of the Tiger
in my iris, Canibus is a fighter
************, my greatgrandfather was Irish
let's roll the dices, 'll break you like young Tyson
give me the mic man, I don't need no hype man
put a thousand on me, put one on him
i tear off his limbs, throw him in, and tell him to swim "

They have similar instrumentation and the same basic structure.

No disrespect intended,I know musical taste is personal and subjective and if somebody likes music I hate the the hell with my opinion they really don't have to accommodate for my pickiness and can just ignore me. I couldn't care less if someones preferences is different from mine(my preferences are pretty varied if I do say so, I'll be listening to Black Sabbath then to Elton John to Rush to Metallica to some obscure J-pop band) I'm just argueing my side of perspective on music. No offence intended firend.

My favourite music is Metal (and all its subgenres), Ska, Punk, Indie, Alternative, Rock(n Roll on occasion), Irish folk, certain Hip Hop and Rap... the list would go on.

Not too fond of Reggae, Dance (and all its subgenres).

This topic has been done quite a few times, though.
