It has to be the 40k armour. There's no point in wearing body armour if it can't withstand bullets on its own or only with the aid of an energy shield.
Of course the 40k armour does have the disadvantage of the wearer needing to be 8 to 10 feet tall with the skeleton and muscle mass of two and a half to three normal men stitched together even with the cervo-mechanical network built into it. Not to mention the implanation of the Black Carapace...
Not neccessarily...Inquisitors and Sisters of Battle also wear power armor, or in the case of Inquisitors, potentially artificer and terminator armor, and they aren't super soldiers in any way, just normal humans who have access to power armor and bolt weapons.
If no one could tell by that statement, 40k for me...if it can stop cannon rounds that would shred anything by todays standards, it has to be good.
W40K of course, the game that started it all. Concept pictures for Halo are just Imp Guard, Starcraft is a full on rip off of 40K. I mean, put pictures of 'nids and zerg up next to each other. Or just compare story wise. So originality wise, W40K gets my vote. Also because any universe that grim is awesome. ^ ^

I have to go with the Helghast (Killzone). They are intimidating yet still retain their level of awesomeness. I like hearing their voices.
They try, and most of them get the costumes down pat.
They're not too bad. Admittedly they're not grim enough, need moar grim. But the outfit itself isn't too bad. Jumppack, bolter. All there as far as I can see. Also need less lipstick.
This is way less grim, I mean, she's smiling! You don't smile in 40K. Ever. Buuuuuut.. 'shrugs' Iunno, the costume is pretty good.

Probably either Halo or Mass Effect, because unlike Starcraft and Warhammer's armor they are sleek and powerful at the same time and still allow fr great movement, the Mass Effect armor is probably more powerful, but the Mk. 6 MJOLNIR armor used by Master Chief increases speed and reaction time tremendously. Samus's armor has the built in weapons but touching a giant bug does damage to it which make me doubt its structural integrity.
Scout armor, it's less overall powerful, but it's still space marine, just allows for greater movement and stealth. If you want power armor, it's in 40K or it doesn't exist.
I choose Samus' suit, on account that it's the only one that has single-handedly taken on whole entire alien races and has caused the destruction of planets. Oh, and then there's the X Parasite thing.
Warhammer 40k,
The marines were some of the first of there kind, media wise
they have evil versions that are as if not more badass,
the W40k space marine look is iconic,
and they use fucking chain-swords.
I have to go with Space Marines.
It may not look practical compared to what you have in Mass Effect, but characters in Mass Effects don't have to fight things nearly as monstrous. I guess you could count the Rachni to a degree, but they aren't nearly as bad as Tyranids.

I don't like 40k space marines that much. All the weird mystical 40k mumbo jumbo with all the skulls and symbols ruins any badass-ness that they might have to me. And considering that they don't do shit compared to the Imperial Guard, doesn't make them seem so much like Marines and more like big walking trophies of the Imperium's glory days.
While the Imperial Guard do more of the grunt work, they pretty much sign up to die. There aren't nearly as many marines as there are Guardsmen. The guards deal with the typical crap stuff and marines are given important and dangerous tasks. Marines need the guards, and the guards need the marines.
I've always liked Spartans and their MJOLNIR armor the best. Although if you want a massive army of space marines I'd take the stormtroopers but immedietly fire any of them that were in the original trilogy since they couldn't hit the broadside of a space barn.
To be fair, Killzone, Dead Space and Star Wars armor (as displayed) did not include motor assistance for the user and as such would not be considered power armor. This is also the same reason Doom is Disqualified.
Starcraft Power armor is, for all intents and purposes, Space Marine (WH40K) power armor and I would disqualify it as a result. Gears armor is far too busy and over designed. The Metroid Power armor has a terrible habit of losing parts at the drop of a hat so it too is disqualified. While I prefer the look of the WH40k armor, I would probably give the nod to the Halo Armor as it seems more reasonably designed all around and one could presumably fit through a door if need be without simply going through the wall.
