I still like my bloodthirsty convicts in super robot suits that uses a machine gun that fire bullets 50 cal or higher like nothing at high speeds. If you don't understand this...it's Starcraft.

i think the space marines from 40k fire mini rockets from their bolters. every space marine has one of these.

I like the ODST armor seems the most practical to me.

I always loved how the Halo 1, 3, and Reach marines were covered in these big metal plates, those were probably the most cheap and effective means of protection against plasma based weaponry.

Starship Troopers(the book) could leap over buildings and squeeze gorillas to death. Not to mention the nuclear rocket launchers and getting dropped from orbit. Can't find pictures of anything but the movie. Of course the one on the cover is obscured by the title.

There was an anime, and manga for Starship troopers back in the 80s which depicted the soldiers in power armor. I haven't read the book, so I don't know if it's accurate, but here's a picture of it from the manga:

That seems to cover it pretty well. At least abilities wise. I suppose I'll have to try and draw my own. Since it was a book and all the "accurate pictures" are in my head. Could take awhile. Especially since I suck at drawing.

I am not familiar with the old anime from the 80s, but I do like the scout suits from the Roughnecks series. I've always thought they were supremely bad-ass! To my knowledge, the series borrowed from the book, the first movie, and possibly other material as well.

At any rate, I hardly see a space marine more awesome than an MI trooper!

I disagree with COG soldiers being "space marines". They are never in space.

I feel as though I should comment on your avatar in this thread. It's oddly appropriate since Sisko was the only Starfleet captain that I can remember whose sole duty was to kick ass and take names! Could you call him a space marine? No, but he did tend to go on a killing spree here and there.

If we're talking about power armour the ones from fallout 3 are awesome but if we are talking about space marine armour period, then warhammers the way to go.

The ODST armor works well for the average every day soldier. Genetically engineered, though, I'll take the 40k armor.
