I actually think that the GF Marines from Metroid Prime are some of the best "space marines." They're all average joe, but the suits are fully pressurized, have integrated internal systems and computers and can put out and withstand a lot of firepower. In the future, I'd expect your average space marine to be decked out like that.

With all the space marine games out there...
I don't really have a favorite one, but i like Master Chief's suit more than 40k, Starcraft, or Gears' ones. It seems a bit more practical, has better strength-to-weight ratio, you can actually stand back up if you fall while wearing it. Why i've picked it, however, is because the helmet is cool, and the bright green color looks nice. Of course, i've chosen that one just because Ratchet dosen't usually wear powered armor suits.

And just to be picky: Dead Space isn't a space marine game, but Metroid pretty much is. All you youngsters, you. The "other" option would also be nice.

I like the Halo series, both the Spartans and the ODST, as they don't look like the only reason a bullet would ever be stopped by one of the suits is the shear amount of metal between the marine and everything else. They look like actual combat armor, which I like the look of quite a lot.

The Nano Suit from Crysis, because of how plausible to design is and I love how it looks. It really looks like something you could see being developed in the near future, and the overall design really shows off that the suit is tough.

I've always thought that Halo's spartan/odst armor was quite good both aesthetically and practically. It's got the black insulated bodysuit that covers the whole body and then the armor in pieces around it covering pretty much everything but the joints so that movement is easy, yet you still won't be taking a direct bullet anytime soon. It's very believable. Also for some reason all the other armors have really massive awkward looking feet.

I really like the new NanoSuit2 design (pics 1 and 3)
I'd say less marines and more spec ops, but agree. I'd love to see this kind of stuff developed in the future.
Of course, only if it's for use under a united government against dangerous insurgent groups. If say, the US got their hands on a suit like this rather than the UN, I'd be less pleased.

I wanted to say fallout, with the way that power armor is looking now i could see the power armor from fallout bein the coolest and best way to stay bullet proof, but i like starcraft too

It took me a second, but I laughed hard.

I don't like 40k space marines that much. All the weird mystical 40k mumbo jumbo with all the skulls and symbols ruins any badass-ness that they might have to me. And considering that they don't do shit compared to the Imperial Guard, doesn't make them seem so much like Marines and more like big walking trophies of the Imperium's glory days.

Starship Troopers(the book) could leap over buildings and squeeze gorillas to death. Not to mention the nuclear rocket launchers and getting dropped from orbit. Can't find pictures of anything but the movie. Of course the one on the cover is obscured by the title.

Why is Doomguy not on the list. He may not have been the first space marine to hit the scene. but he's saved more planets, more lives than any other space marines. And he did it bare-chested while chugging a beer.

I salute you, Doomed Space Marine. Well done

Well, the most powerful by far is the WH40K version, but those things are huge. Those space marines are over 10 feet tall so if one of those guys if full armor tries to enter a house through the main door,he'll just rip the whole damn wall down.
Not very practical considering if I had a suit of power armor it would probably be the only thing I would ever wear for the rest of my life.

I'll go for Mass Effect armor.High tech material and has a nifty shield while remaining very small.
