Poll: Best space marine get up.

Why is Doomguy not on the list. He may not have been the first space marine to hit the scene. but he's saved more planets, more lives than any other space marines. And he did it bare-chested while chugging a beer.

I think the metroid one is the most useful but the halo reach one could end up out doing it by a better balance of usefulness and look.

I've always hated the StarCraft and WH40K space marine outfits. Way too bulky for my liking, not to mention just plain ugly. I like the Mass Effect armor style the most. Practical, non-obstructive, and still looks like it could take a beating.

I have to go with the Helghast (Killzone). They are intimidating yet still retain their level of awesomeness. I like hearing their voices.

I'm definitely gonna go with 40k. Nothing else in all of fiction comes anywhere near the sheer level of pure, distilled awesome that is the 40k Space Marine (excepting maybe an entire WAAAGH!, but that's neither here nor there).

I'm not a huge fan of the game itself, but I have to admit, fully armoured Isaac did look awfully good. His armour was distinctive while still being fairly simple.

Mass Effect is a close second. Bonus points for looking like something that might actually be worn by a human being one day.

The rest all look like shit. Especially Warhammer.

Should've put that in a spoiler to start with, but I agree with you. These things can do anything. It can operate in a vacuum, harsh environments, and is covered in ceramic and titanium plating head to toe while still maintaining maneuverability to a tolerable limit. It's not Mjolnir, but it's as close as you can get without being SPARTAN. This would be the first thing I'd grab.

Sure, but you won't be able to aim with that helmet on and you will die the minute you get within 50 feet of a main character. It's suicide.

EDIT: I'd also like to point out that the original "marines" were soldiers who secured naval vessels. Thus, a "space marine" would be the security personnel aboard a space ship... which. I believe, makes this guy the only technical space marine here (except for the stormtrooper)
