4000 hours on Morrowind.........one character.

300 hours on Oblivion.........one character.

150 hours on Fallout 3.........one character.

I tend to create my character and then just go for it. I play in first person view and wear armour and helmets as often as possible, so appearances rarely bother me after the initial character creation screen.

In the ES games, I'm always a Nord, and in others I'm generally the hardest most evil looking bastard possible, so race never worries the decision-making part of my brain either.

I've tried several times to get into Oblivion. Start, adventure for a while, ignore main quest, lose interest, forget game, rediscover months later, reinstall. Wash, rinse, repeat.
I don't think I've ever even tried to play the main quest.

If theres anything I can do to improve it, Let me know.
remove the unnecessary amount of "!"'s,there are never any reasons to use more than 1 exclamation mark, also i don't have the disease, i finished oblivion and fallout 3 without restarting, i found it harder not to in oblivion because the class i had chosen quickly became way to overpowered and there for there was no fun in playing beyond lvl 9, but in fallout there where books and figures and gear so you could play any type you wanted and still lvl up.
Thanks for the feedback

Well, to be honest, I just came to my room because I have been playing FO3 for 6 hours today (it is almost 1pm in my time zone right now) I played to the ending twice, am working on achievements on a third character and I got bored so started a new one four days ago.

I figured I have a minor case, because I FINISH the game, but have to redo it.

I don't have a case of Bethesda Syndrome, but that might be because I spend literally an hour making the character I like. I make sure he (rarely she) is the character I want for the rest of the game.

I admit it, I've got it. But this goes for loads of games in my case. I'm HOPING I'll get through on my current playthrough of Oblivion though. The new mods I've installed are adding a lot of new motivation.

funny that I make mostly female characters, it's a nice change from the grunting noises I hear all the time in games without character creation anyhow.

I haven't finished Fallout 3, because I have had a software/hardware failure on it with PS3/PC/360, that game is CURSED.

even in single player RPGs like Elder Scrolls and Fallout 3 (love ya Todd Howard) I am sooo paranoid about how my character looks. Im always looking at my character in 3rd person and changing small things about him or his outfit. I am so very OCD about how my guys look in those games. (Fallout and Elder Scrolls being the main culprits)

I didn't beat either of those games, but for different reasons; Elder Scrolls 4 bored me fairly quickly, and Fallout 3 kept crashing my computer.

It is, plus it's nicer to look at in some spare time, but I enjoy playing like I'm in the situation, so I mostly play as a guy.

I have it bad. I have had more characters in Oblivion than the amount of hours I have put into playing Bioshock (which, for the record, was at least a couple dozen).
