I have hazel eyes.

And I've also heard research that indicates that people with blue eyes are more likely to have bad eyesight.

Got it! Blue eyes, means bad eyesight, means glasses, which makes you look intellectual, which makes people think you're smarter!

I was going to comment seriously, but then I saw that the article was from the Daily Fail.

Eyes aren't a determiner of intelligence, they just just tell you about what/how much pigment you have in your eye :/

I have blue gray eyes with bits of white in it too. Hmmm. What does that mean? I also have brown hair and am part German.

Sounds like a crock of $*"£ to me, based on personal experience.

(My eyes are blue around the edge and yellow in the middle, so they look green from more than 2 feet away, or weird from less)

Blue eyes here and I perform at least decently in school...pale as a ghost and golden-haired too >_>....and scandinavian with Germanic ancestors as far back as I know....I do, however, not embrace certain ideologies *cough*
Edit: Also, perfect, honest-to-god 20/20 vision

It's funny, I've got blue eyes and I've always been a teacher favourite. I even got my own personalized award when I finished High School "Most Likeable Slacker"

There's a little too much similarity for me to take this even half seriously.

That's what I was thinking. Hasn't this "experiment" been done before. Haha.

Well, green-eyed people like me rule forever.

No it doesnt, it means one or both of your parents had blue eyes meaning you inherited that eye colour...was what I was going to say until I remembered I had blue eyes. Fuck that, I'm a genius!

Blondie hair and blue eyes generally help with making people more successful, I feel a little insulted by reading this and them pushing the thoughts of I have lesser thoughts than blonds. >.>

Really, the brighter the color, the easier you can see the emotion in their eyes....or lack of intelligence, upon some of the more interestingly bright colors I've seen

Asians have brown eyes. Asians are all geniuses. This article is a load of rubbish.

I have blond hair and really dark brown eyes. I like to think I'm intelligent but I've never sparkled academically.

The discovery might help explain the success of such disparate individuals as Stephen Hawking, Alexander Fleming, Marie Curie, Stephen Fry and Lily Cole.
Of course, their brilliance is only to be explained because of the color of their eyes. This also means that certain ethnicities have a far smaller chance of producing geniuses because they simple do not have children with blue eyes.

Also, if blue eyes were to be linked directly to a person's intelligence factor, then you might wonder what the cause of the blue eyes is, and if that might cause other traits as well, such as left-handedness, a fondness of cats or an appetite for cheese. And perhaps we could recreate said cause.

To me it looks like the people who observed this should be looking at less pale ethnicities as well before coming to any silly conclusions that might be seen as racist.

I have blue eyes and I failed math 3 times (mostly for another reason, being prepared for sequential 1,2,3 math classes and instead being put into math A...which was all 3 combined). Maybe I'm just pants on head retarded.
