I don't do them myself, I'm a traditionalist, but I got no problem with other folks doing it. A year working in a sex shop, along with 'A Crooked Little Vein'(if you're into fetishes and haven't read this then the hell are you still doing here? Actually, around here, it's surprisingly hard to find a dom... I hate the point when THEY want to be tied up, because they're neutral to bondage and tired of trying to be dominant.

There's a time and a place to put the velvet glove onto the iron fist, so to speak. Sometimes gentle and playful can be a change of pace and add a bit of variety---y'know, spice of life and all that. Especially when the sub's got that little question mark over her head like "ok, what's he doing this time?" But it can't break character. The velvet glove is still on an iron fist, after all.

I miss my rats as well. Buster (the little guy on my shoulder there) passed away in 2008. He's always got a little place in my heart. Best pet EVER.

I'm gonna protest a bit there. A sub can't just hang back and expect the dominant to handle the whole show like some kind of know-it-all mindreader. That's not gonna work. There's kink and there's kink... one person's turn-off is another person's screaming orgasm.

I think network cable's far more useful in the bedroom than the computer room, and you can do amazing things with a broom handle or an old baseball bat.

Mind you, if it were me, I'd do the jerry-rig, if only because a good steel spreader bar goes for $30+ (a lot more if there's machining done to make stuff like bars with attached cuffs/shackles) but if you're just looking for the bar itself you can get a Festivus pole (excellent strength-to-weight ratio!) for cheap and use that, plus have a lovely holiday decoration for the Feats of Strength.
