I dunno, the few I've met do lots of jobs and actually quite like the conventions because despite the weirdos, most of the people there understand they're not just dummies.

Just to specify: I've only been to two of these kind of events and there were always some guys around to show how a certain game was actually played, with the boothgirls just standing to the side and/or looking on. That's what I meant with 'no idea about the stuff they're promoting', know-how about the games themselves.

Maybe the weirdos actually add to the fun of a convention?

I picked the third option. You see, I've got the body for it, and the sales skills, but I'm not so big on losing my dignity. Pretty fond of it really.

But losing your dignity is one of the fundamental experiences of life! Once you lose your dignity, and a wonderful world opens (for want of a better word) up for you! I still remember when I first lost my dignity...

I was Bobby Jenkins' party and all of a sudden I see Corey staring at me. I was looking pretty dignified that night with my tuxedo and top hat, but for some reason he just kept on staring at me. Anyhow, I had just finished my 15th mug of mead when for some reason I find myself in Bobby's rumpus room. I guess I just wanted to check out the foosball table. Anyhow, I turn around and Corey's lookin' at me funny.

I lost my dignity that day, with a banana cream pie to the face. It still haunts me.
