Well everyone's hammered the shite out of Prototype but I loved it, the free-running and gliding through the city was awesome fun, as was the ability to elbow drop a tank to death. Not to mention the big fleshy kamehameha you learn later in the game :p

I'd argue with you on that point, but you are too awesome.
Wow, I really wasn't expecting you to agree with that.

EGO...INFLATING...
(Moahaha! Now his ego will explode and he will die! I WILL BECOME THE GREATEST POSTER EVER NOW!!!!)

Why wouldn't I agree? The proof is right there.

I'm saddended by the lack of an option for both, I have both and think that they are good in their own individual ways, but for the poll I went with borderlands, it would be able to be played through for a fair bit longer (in my opinion at least)

They're both awesome games, but if you want more bang for your buck then get Borderlands.

Well, I'm alright I suppose, but I'm not at the level of say, Neonbobs practiced apathy, or Sasquatches insane devotion to nothing, or that guy Steindorh. He just has a cool name.
Hell, I'm nowhere near as good as your Swedish, disc throwing self.
And to that end, I salute you sir.

Gaaah! *tries to suffocate ego* Trying to beat me at my own game, ey? Well, I'm not done yet!

See? Conan O'Brien says we suck. Can't argue with him I'm afraid. You are the most awesome.

ok, here's the deal.
If you'd like an awesome platformer/ third person shooter, go for inFamous. It's awesome (ten million times better than Prototype).
If you want an FPS/RPG game that requires old-school grinding and weapon combinations that rival Diablo II, go with Boderlands.
as for Borderlands vs Prototype? Go for Borderlands... Prototype is just shit.
I liked Prototype, but I agree with what he said. Borderlands is a great choice, however InFamous was a lot better than prototype. I think Borderlands gives the most playtime, though.

Choice is simple:
MP: Borderlands.
SP: Prototype

Borderlands is a very lonely adventure if you go through the game all by yourself. Prototype on the other hand offers a better single player xperience.

Ooh, fuck thats a difficult one.

Well, I'd go for Borderlands myself, but only if you can play online, if you can't play online, get Prototype.
NEVER recommend Prototype... ever...
Thank you.

Prototype is a derivative third-person beat-'em-up with very, very little originality. It comes from a genre that should have died the best part of a decade ago. Go for Borderlands; it may just be Diablo with guns, but Diablo was quite fun back in the day.

Then again, I wouldn't have either game; I'm sick of these derivative and clichéd titles that everybody seems to have adopted this year.
See? this man gets it! Prototype was just horrible and when I reccomended inFamous, I wasn't suggesting a different game to prototype, I was merely suggesting a game that was similar to Prototype in many ways, except in the fact that inFamous was a good game.
Except, by your other posts on Infamous/Prototype its clear your completel biased against it, so therefore you cant be taken seriously.
Then perhaps a biased opinion is in order!

I had fun with both games, I really did. But... something about Prototype was wrong. I do not know why, and I didn't notice until after I sold it. It was like, when I had stopped playing all the hours I had spent seemed wasted. Maybe I played it too much, but it got repetitive in the end.

InFamous had better quality by far. Quality as in better controls, better graphics, better loading times, better technical stuff. Game play is up to debate on which one is best, story was more consistent and better but the plot twist at the end was kinda weird, but I liked it better than prototypes ending.

Prototype: Mindless fun

InFamous: Mindless fun that at the same time makes you feel like your playing a game that is actually from 2008.

Although InFamous gets a huuuuge minus for the fact that you have to press R3 to see hidden collectables on the minimap. My thumb hurt a lot after getting the platinum trophy.
Haha, amen on the L3 (R3 was to switch camera perspective sides) being the button to locate blast shards. That's a big letdown for the game, but it hardly breaks it.
As for inFamous, I loved the ending, as it left it open for a sequel, but at the same time, I think it would be a smart move on Sucker Punch's behalf to not create a sequel.

Prototype gets pretty brutal when you turn all aggression onto the public. HOWEVER, it did get boring after, oooh a couple of hours! (Give me infamous anyday)

Borderlands I love because of the graphics. But apart from that, I wasnt too overwhelmed by it. I mean the last "boss" - friggin heck....you know what I mean if you've fought it. *rolls eyes*
Yes, agreed. the last boss was lame and then you get like no decent weapons or anything from---
SPOILER ALERT!!!! (I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO ADD THE TAGS) YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
----The vault... hell you don't even get to enter it and find absolutely awesome weapons?
Also.. you can't fight the final boss more than twice (once on each playthrough), like wtf!?
What's the point of a vault with super awesome weapons? That would kill the replay value if you just got the best gear in a game where you replay to get the better guns.

OT: If you want prototype cheap just "The Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction" it's almost identical to Prototype, mainly because it's made by the same game developer.

Not uber awesome but like an Orange weapon I'd be happy with.
I've only ever gotten yellows, and i mean it's the freaking final boss ffs!How many awesome drops did you get from Baal or Diablo (before Lord of Destruction was released)?
You got, usually at least a unique weapon.

Really hard to rate 2 games with really different genres.

But, in terms of entertainment and replay value. Borderlands, by a hell of a lot. Its a great game, and its fun, ohhhh so much fun!

I played Prototype and it wasn't that fun.

Honestly, the guy lacks like any kind of feelings and when you get to a certain part where the humans are TRYING to fight the infection with some machines.

YOU are there to destroy them because they weaken you. Then the player go "Am I really doing the right thing?" It's just retarded silly that he can say that.

Story is not all that great, the gameplay isn't that great either. There are some fun moves but your main weapon is going to be a whip. Why? Well it's just useful and the last boss is just bloody annoying without that skill.

While I still think Borderlands have some or several faults it's still the better game.

I haven't finished Borderlands, but so far I'd say I like it more than Prototype, although Prototype was a pretty good game.

Borderlands. [PROTOTYPE] is a great game, but Borderlands has humour on it's side.

Both are great games, I like Borderlands better right now but that's mostly because I've played Prototype so much I'm a bit tired of it.

Borderlands. I liked [PROTOTYPE], but whenever it forced you to destroy a hive or infiltrate a base, it just turned to shit. At least Borderlands was consistent in its quality.

Prototype was a very good game, but sadly, not much repay value.

I could also say the same for Borderlands, if you aren't playing with your friends.
