I think that Boris Johnson is the cleverest politician in the world. He has got look of idiocy that means you can let him get away with everything. Also, he is a very good politician and has a great IQ.
He is not a fool in my opinion and should be prime minister!
Do you think he is a buffoon?

I've grown a liking to him since seeing him on Top Gear. I think he plays the whole 'political thing' pretty well, but then again, I think 'I' could also do it. It's basically lieing and backstabbing as far as I can tell. Then again, I'm completely biased as I hate politics.

I would'nt say he is in an idiot. He's certainly intelligent and eccentric and an able politican. Disagree with many of his policies though. He probably uses his eccentricity for his own political advantage.

I don't know much about his policies, and he is a Tory...
But I just want to give him a hug. He's great

He's awesome.

For all he's knocked for being a complete idiot/buffoon, he's a very intelligent man who's had an outstanding education (Eton, mkay?). He's also doing a great job as Mayor of London, from what I've heard.

Boris for PM!

You shouldn't hate politics, you should hate certain politicians.

I kind of like Boris, he says what he thinks more often than other politicians, even if some of the things he says are questionable.

He's actually quite good at obfuscating stupidity, to steal a phrase from TV Tropes.

Mayor of London. Frequent guest on topical comedy shows, to boot.

Ok, fair enough. Maybe hate is too far. I just don't like the way it is all handled, men shouting at each other in a large room shouldn't be called politics. May as well hand them all paintball guns and let them roam free. "The cleanest after an hour becomes PM," would be more constructive in my eyes, and more fun to watch.

I must be still too young to care.

Boris Johnson is legendary. He appears as a bumbling buffoon only because he is stupidly intelligent and is just thinking 5 minutes ahead of himself at all times.

He's a better mayor than that smarmy little weasel Ken Livingstone, that's for sure. And as Ian Hislop said, Boris is a rare thing among British politicians: he's actually elected.

I think a picture of Boris would do nicely here for those who don't know him.
Just so you know, this was one of the better ones.

I'd agree with the idea that he's intelligent, but just lacking in common sense. And yes he's a bit of a buffoon.
Remember last winter and a bit of snow got on the ground in London? Well, Boris shut down London Transport, buses, trains etc. stranding a load of people in London. That is the deffinition of a half baked idea.

As much as I like watching him on TV (Top Gear, Have I Got News For You etc.), I would never EVER want to see him become PM. But of course, I'm not a fan of the Tory Party...
