I like Gears. I like Painkiller.

I myself was hoping for news on Resi 6.s69-5 said:At E3? I was actually pretty disappointed overall. I was hoping for more variety than mostly FPS games. Here's hoping that the Tokyo Game Show will prove more fruitful.Ninjamedic said:What game did you like then? (just asking).s69-5 said:It looked like every other of the 100 FPS games shown at E3. YAWN!
Except it had an energy lasso (whoopee).
I'm not the guy to ask though. I can't stand FPS games so and IMO they are all the exact same game. I can never tell the difference as the main character is always a gun and the enemies/ environments always look the same. This really had no appeal to me.
Fallout: New Vegas (VATS makes shooting tolerable if you're wondering about the seeming disconnect) & Valkyria Chronicles 2, I'll pick those.
Maybe Knights in the Knightmare & Arcania: Gothic IV.
If my wife will lend me her DS:
Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals (remake of an old series I used to enjoy when I was a teen).
Again, E3 was disappointing.
I hope Move works.s69-5 said:Resident Evil?Ninjamedic said:I myself was hoping for news on Resi 6.
Only if they fix the horrible control scheme...
My basic impression. I also found the characters nauseatingly tiresome, being rehashes of the same characters that appear in every other beefcake simulator.s69-5 said:It looked like every other of the 100 FPS games shown at E3. YAWN!

... Do you live under a rock? Just to name a few, how are Borderlands, Metro 2033, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Bioshock 2 or Left4Dead trying to copy Halo or Call of Duty?Ninjamedic said:This is the first FPS in a while that isn't trying to copy Halo or Call of Duty.

So THAT'S why it reminds me so much of Painkiller...Ninjamedic said:After seeing screenshots and a gameplay demo I can honestly say I'm psyched. This is the first FPS in a while that isn't trying to copy Halo or Call of Duty.
It's made by People Can Fly, the developers behind Painkiller, so It could be a return to form for the Old-school FPS.
What do YOU think? Savior of the FPS? or another generic piece of Grey-brown Slop?

Its like I'm a one stop shop for BulletStorm info.
I was just referring off as FPS's that try to pass themselves as ""hardcore"".Assassin Xaero said:They are still FPS, they just include RPG elements... >_>Ninjamedic said:Aren't the first four FPS/RPG's?Assassin Xaero said:...
