I CAN drive and I DO drive everyday. I passed every every test on first try because it just isn't hard, not even remotely.
Here we pay money (alot) to learn driving by a driving instructor, then you pay more (half of the previous alot) to take the national driving tests, when you pass you get a maple leaf and get to drive 2 years before paying the last about 50$ to get your full licenses.

I may not have confidence with girls but I have in driving.

I got my license when i was 19. I've been driving for almost 4 years now and racked up only about 35k-40k miles and I use a manual. It gives you better control in my opinion then an automatic.

In the United states the rules for driving age depend on which state you're in BTW.
I have been driving for 16 years now. 21 if you count a tractor. I drive every day and I have been trained in 'offensive driving'. Thankfully I've only had to ram people a few times. Everything in your body says not to do it you instincts tell you 'veer away!' and then when you hit the amount of adrenaline that goes through your body is enough to give you tremors.

Can drive, just not legally. I kinda failed my theory by one mark and never went back.
Don't get me started on the theory test. All those questions about first aid when you never get the option to phone an ambulance. Oh, and the hazard perception test is rubbish of the highest order. Anything is a hazard if you're not in control! Would be better to do it while you're driving along, then you can name them as you go along.
And you never learn with the radio on... Who doesn't drive with the radio on?

Gonna wait until I'm 25. For now I'm good with public travel and walking. It means my insurance will at least be a little cheaper, and I'll have money saved up.

I can drive, and drive well, but I only got a temporary beginners license and it has since expired. This doesn't bug me because I usually live in a town or city with adequate public transportation and I don't mind walking up to an hour if need be.

Well... Not LEGALLY, but I'm pretty good at controlling a 3 ton vehicle.

Thankfully, I turn sixteen within a few months, so I'll have my permit soon.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't actually read the OP.

Well, the age for learning in the states is 16, and the age for actually getting a license is 17 (at least in most parts of the U.S.)

And as I said above, I'm fifteen going on sixteen.

Most cars here are automatics actually. It's considered a skill here to be able to drive manual.

I grew up on a farm so I've been driving a vehicle since my feet could reach the gas pedal. In Alberta, Canada you can get your first Learner's permit at 14 that allows you to drive with someone with their full license.

At one year after you get your learners, with a minimum age of 16 you can get your non graduated drivers license [GDL] that allows you to drive a vehicle but with a zero tolerance alcohol level and some kind of curfew that I never followed. At 18 or 2 years after you've gotten your non GDl license you can apply to take your GDL license that removes the restrictions of the non-GDL license and allows you to enjoy the full benfits of driving. Driving gets boring after a couple years. I'm 19 and in 2 weeks will be getting my non GDL and I've been driving legally for over 5 years now

As for prefernace I prefer manual though I'm driving an automatic right now due to my last car finally dying.

As for a story, being the stupid teenager I was, me and my friend decided to joyride before getting the windshield wipers fixed in my first car. Naturally Murphy's law kicked in and it poured. Naturally being retardedly stupid we decided that going faster would make the rain go off my windshield and so 150km per hour we went back to my friends with his head out the window acting as my eyes. Do not try that kids it is scary as fuck.

Yep. I have had a full license for about a month and I am the proud owner of a Dark Red Ford KA
I always obey the law so some people consider this a good thing, others a bad but oh well

I'm 20 and just got my license this year, in Ontario, Canada I can go w/e with my license except have a BAC > 0.00%. At first I didn't want to drive since there was no need to. Now that I can, I can control my car as if it were an extension of myself.

Yep. License and insurance.

Don't have my own car though. I just borrow whichever one's lying around.

I got my license, have had it for a year or so (I'm 19). We can learn at the age of 16, and get the license at the age of 18 here in Norway. oh, and I drive manually, as automatic cars are a bit wierd for me (it's like walking outside, without shoes on... it's just wierd).

Getting a drivers license early on is a good idea if for no other reason than that it drives your insurance premiums down earlier.

In Florida you can get your learner's permit (which allows you to drive as long as a liscensed adult is in the passenger seat) at age 15, and you can get your liscense a year after getting your permit (assuming you pass the test). I got my permit July 20th, of last year, and as soon as I pass my test, I can get my liscense.

Yes I can drive, someone probably already said it but in the US you can be 16 and have a license if you've done the necessary training. I did all that, aced the test and have been driving for 3 years now in the same car. Pretty impressive for me considering of all the people I know, I'm the only one who hasn't gotten in a crash

Fully licensed driver. I don't own a car while I'm away at college, but I used to drive quite a bit in my highschool days.

For the summer I just borrow one of the several other cars at my disposal. Vroooooom!

I can drive, I started drivers ed at 15 and got my license at 16. I can't believe people who don't drive or have cars because I live in the middle of nowhere. There is no public transportation and the nearest supermarket is 12 miles away, and without a trunk how do you transport the stuff you buy?
