I learnt to swim when I was young, going through all of the levels of swim teachery. And I dont think that starting at beginiers with a KG is embarasing!! Dude, that was a very traumatic experiance, it takes hardcore balls to even do that, so be proud man, be hardcore proud!!! Because I sure as hell Can't face my fears!

I love a bit of swimming, learnt to swim when I was young and have never really stopped since. Nothing better than a bit of swimming on a nice hot day.

I live by the sea, and I don't know anyone who can't swim (who lives by me).
There was a kid in school who couldn't swim and he got picked on for it, it's really strange around here.

I live in the sea, I love water and messing about in waves. I can swim fine.

I'm also a lifeguard but you don't really need to be able to swim well to lifeguard pools, I need to get a beach LG qualification.

Don't remember learning, I remember almost drowning a few times as a kid but it wasn't because I couldn't swim.

Sure can. Being able to swim is kinda a prerequisite to survival in Australia...

Haha, this brought back some memories. I used to live not 10 minutes (driving) from a lake, so every summer we'd be there constantly. When I was about 5 or so my dad just threw me into the lake unexpectedly. So it was learn damn quickly, or be embarrassed by being rescued (I learned). In elementary school (K-7), swimming lessons were offered for a couple weeks so that's where I learned proper technique and a love for diving boards. All that said, I haven't swam in almost 2 years.

This basically. We also require a certificate of wildlife fighting.

Lessons when I was young (too young to remember) and was part of a swimming team. But I haven't been swimming in... at least a year, since Australia.

I used to be [if I may say so myself] an absolute beast at swimming. I competed in various events up and down the country in it... But gave it up...

I took swimming lessons at the YMCA when I was a kid. There were seven levels overall (Polliwog, Guppy, Minnow, Fish, Flying Fish, Shark and Porpoise). I passed everything up to and including Flying Fish.

My parents took me to swimming lessons from a young age, and we got a pool put in our backyard like 5-6 years ago which I use quite a lot in summer. So I would say that I'm a fairly adequate swimmer.

I was about 10 when I learned. I could swim before but I, uh. Forgot. So now I can only swim about a length because I run out of breath ;|

I can swim, but I wouldn't say I'm a strong swimmer by any means. Just enough to float and go from X to Y in a slow manner.

I think I'm a pretty good swimmer. I guess I was 4-6 when I learned to swim.

So... you didn't go swimming... because you were afraid of getting wet?

Yeah I can swim. I used to do it as a sport until I ran out of money and such. Sucks, because it was the only sport I liked competing in.
