Poll: Catching all 493 Pokemon in 72 hours for charity.

Well, I just finished watching it a bit ago. They started at 6:00pm on the 18th and ended at 6:08pm on the 21st. However, they apparently had a late start due to technical difficulties and didn't actually start until around 6:20pm so they made it within the 72 hour time limit and raised over $18,000!

The last Pokemon was Meganium which had to be evolved from Bayleaf. Also, they are keeping the donations open until the 24th so if you wanted to donate you still can.

There's no way. 130 hours on Platinum and I'm only about a third of the way there. But of course they've got different people on all the games so who knows. I'm rooting for them.

Honestly, I had my doubts given that they only reached 429/491 (since they could only legally obtain 491/493) last year, but somehow they made it in the nick of time and blew past their donation goal before their marathon was even over. Their Pokemon marathons certainly seem to get attention, but then again that Final Fantasy marathon they had netted them $50,000 for charity...

To be fair, the Final Fantasy marathon was a week long. If they had kept pace, the pokemon marathon would have earned about $44,000 in a week. Not as much, but at least closer.

My prediction would have been definitely not. The random encounter generation Gods would never be so merciful to any one body of people hoping to catch all the Pokemon in a mere 72 hours.

However, it seems they have smiled on them this time, which is surprising. Of course, it significantly helped their odds that they were playing several games simultaneously rather than just do one at a time.

It was a good idea regardless. Desert Bus lost its novelty after the first time.

To catch all teh pokemon in one version in under 72 hours can be one pretty easily. I cought all pokemon avalable in sapphire and in well under that amount of play time. But I'm a pokemon legend.

They had to evolve chikorita twice, they got the last evolution in the last minutes, it was tense since they were play the final count down and pokemon songs
