I love cooking, I would never want to do it as a job but I could quite easily.

I make wonderful meals for my family and I have an autistic son who has eating issues and won't eat anything I make or usually anyone makes for that matter. It really kills me sometimes.

Cooking is one of my passions in life, and I'm quite good at it. My Red Curry Stew and Nikujaga are great, and I cook a mean lemon catfish, among other things. If there's an interesting recipe, I'm usually writing it down.

Yes,I cherish the 80 year old cooking books I have that were passed down to me as well. Still use a lot of the old style recipes as well. Odd how food really never ages out of style.

I was making manicotti by myself at twelve.

I rule the kitchen.

I'm fifteen now and I cook about half the meals in my house because my parental figures have realized my adeptness with fire and food.

I can cook quite well. It did surprise me that some people cannot do it at all though. My EX couldn't even cook sausages or tell when eggs were done. I found that odd as from my perspective it's simple to tell from looking at them. plus it's something you learn by doing, if you have made something 3 or 4 times you learn how long it takes to cook. It's simple.

I'm pretty good, I always kinda wanted to be a chef when I got to this point in my life so I've taken some classes, read a lot and watched a lot of cooking shows. Though I realized I could never handle the kind of cooking environment that comes with being a chef. I'd rather just cook professional type meals at my own pace for the people I love. I know if I'd actually gone into that profession I'd have come to hate it.

.. Scary. That's exactly the same situation I was in. I did some courses, then I tried working in a cafe and man, that was not fun. Way too stressful. I prefer cooking in a relaxed environment.

I prefer cooking at home and I'm not too shabby. ^^;

I seem to have a natural knack for cooking. Just from a taste or even sometimes by the smell of something I can tell what it needs more or less of.

I wanted to be a chef for a while...then I saw all the cooks at big bowl going nuts on all that stuff that had to constantly make, on their feet for 7 hours at a time, in an amazingly hot kitchen, with tons of other people, with a lot of multitasking, way too many flames shooting from the stove, all with waiters yelling about where their order is, all for it to end up a little cold because the waiter is a ditz and didn't grab the dish till 10 minutes too late and you end up having to reheat the damned thing....yeah not for me.
