No, because I just wouldn't be attracted to them. They'd be a friend or a best friend.

No. I have to find my partner aesthetically pleasing. Since my general opinion is that humans are not THAT aesthetic, members of the same sex generally score even lower.

Since physical attraction for me is a MUST in a relationship, there's absolutely no way I could engage in a homosexual relationship, despite how awesome the other person is.

allthough i feel like i probably should say yes, to me part of my perfect partner is the fact that they are female, i don't think i would be able to love a man in a relationship sort of way.

I think...probably yes, but I've never been in such a situation so I don't know how I'd really react. If this person was special enough to generate more than just brotherly love, who am I to disagree with what the heart wants. But I don't think I could ever intiate it, even if I knew they were likewise inclined. And if it happened I don't think I'd identify as bi or homosexual, even then.

I call those people mates.

I'd happily date any of my mates if they were female. But they're not, their loss.

I don't know but I seriously doubt I could, I just do not find the male form remotely appealing. I can see why women find certain men attractive (mostly I try and understand so I can imitate it) but it just doesn't appeal to me.

I love the idea of "man tasks"

Activities heterosexual men can undertake together that will result in an increase in "man points" as opposed to overtly emotional behavior which will result in a decrease in "man points"

Should an individuals "man points" score drop below 0 at any time his man card will be revoked and he will be referred to as a queer from then on.

to pre-empt anyone being offended the above is a joke

Perhaps I fall for people more than the gender, or something strange like that, as stated by @PayJ567.
It is quite a common thing actually. I dunno does it count as bi-sexual or whatever?
Likely more like omnisexual or something of the sort. I'm not good with gender relationship terms.
Pansexual.

I might give it a try under those circumstances. If he's that perfect though, why not just be best friends?

No. Because for all the epic fail I had to deal with before I met my wife: dudes don't have boobs. And the dudes that do... (<-- and not in a good way)

I'll suffer to remain who I am. I have before, and I'll gladly do it again. Happiness is nice and all, but I'd rather have the peace that comes with not compromising or giving up a part of me or my values.

you haven't had much luck on the dating front. Attempts at the opposite sex either end up less than ideal or fail spectacularly.

are you spying on me?

OT: i doubt it would become anything long term.

Similar to how if the perfect girl ended up having a penis, I would not continue a relationship with them, no I definitely could not date the "perfect guy".

I'm of the lesbian persuasion, so in my case, would I date someone of the opposite sex for sake of happiness? I suppose it is possible.

I've known a few lesbian women to find love in a man, and they admit they never thought it possible. One girl was such a rampant lesbian, she drew comics and became kind of a icon for gay women. Then she moved to california, and I lost touch with her sort of her comic diary. Turns out, she fell in love with a brit, and was as shocked as everyone else!

My own lifes long love interest was married to a military man. She at one time confessed to wanting to have his baby one day.

I personally am most attracted to women. I like to hang out with guys now and again, but I don't find myself attracted to them. It's more than the genitalia, too. Guys are hairy, abrasive, and carry all the wrong energy. It's enough to shut down all attraction. I know an attractive guy when I see one, and cam woman enough to admit seeing what a girl might find attractive. But even if you shave him smooth, give him a soft touch, you can't change that male energy.

I won't say it'll never happen. But it's just not likely.

Yes. That's called "being a friend"; when you don't have sex with people you love.

I'm not going to fucking marry them. He'll just be my bud, duh.

EDIT: I took "yes" as in I overlook what gender they are as in a friend; NOT as a partner...
No interest in men. Never will have, never had.

My friend and I do heaps together, go to movies, dinner, etc.
We're pretty much in a relationship already, but both of us are completely straight.
His girlfriend actually feels threatened by me, lol.

That's because he's considering a sex change.
