Yes i've given up on them

A stupid cutscene expansion and some multiplayer crap.

Yes, i'm sure we will all just forget the FUCKING endings for skins.

I'm looking forward to EA killing BiowEAr.I hope it happens soon.

After dragon age 2, i kinda already did. Its a shame really.
Pretty much this. After the "Awesome Button!!11one" was introduced, I stopped caring about Bioware.

No, because there are so few developers in the world who place such emphasis on characterisation and dialogue the way they do and it would be an awful thing to give up on that. Plus, why would you give up on them, anyway? Out of all the games they've made, the only thing they've ever really done wrong is Dragon Age 2 (which plenty of people still liked) and the last 5 minutes of Mass Effect 3 (which they plan on expanding with free of charge DLC). To me, it just doesn't seem reasonable to abandon a company just because they made one mediocre game, and one game with a bad ending.

People didn't give up on Double Fine because Brutal Legend could have been better than it was. People didn't give up on Valve because Half-Life 2 had a crap ending. People still respect Warren Spector after Epic Mickey. Surely Bioware deserve the same courtesy.

The Bioware I love is dead. Most anyone I cared for has left. It's a book it has the title and the cover but the pages have all been ripped out.

I don't see why I would. I still like their games, even if there has been a drop in quality the last two or three games. To me they're still worth buying. I might voice my dissatisfaction about the things I don't like, after all, that's part of being a customer (also, as a forum poster, it's kind of in my nature ^^). But the day has yet to come when I feel like a Bioware game isn't worth spending money and time on, regardless of how much of a letdown Mass Effect 3's ending was.

I don't have any "loyalty" towards any developer.

If I see a game I like then I buy it regardless of who it's made by.

However I have had issues with the last 3 games I got from BioWare so I can tell you, with hand on heart, I won't be buying another one from them.

Dragon Age 2 was utter shite.
SW:TOR was utter shite.
ME3 was mediocre at best.

They lost several of the guys and gals when EA bought them out. They have lost more since then and it shows.

The quality of BioWare's games has been getting steadily worse as time goes on.

There is a Xbox 360 bug I and many other have that makes the game impossible to play at all on your gamertag. A few token responses from bioware on the issue with no real hint that it will get fixed. Been silent on it for a while now and no mention in patch notes. There is a fix from a community member but the involves editing the gamertag profile which has the potential for xbox live to take action against profile.

So yes I can easily give up on bioware. In fact unless the bug is fixed soon then I have already given up on them.

gave up the exact time DA2 launched ^^
*only winner here*

no but seriously, seeing their recent decline in quality, it's pretty easy.

I havn't played a bioware game since ME1 and I havn't loved a bioware game since Jade Empire. If you told me that I could get a sequel to Jade empire at the cost of erasing every other bioware game from existence I would do it before you finished the sentence.

I've been playing the first Baldurs gate since I was 8 years old, hundreds of playthroughs later I'm not sick of it or Bioware because they have never sold me a crappy product.

Also, if you didn't like the, uh, collectible card game in Witcher 1, rest assured Witcher 2 handles sex in a much more mature way.
I summon my Triss Merigold, face-down!

OT: I'm not going to completely abandon the company, I'm not pious enough in fanboy rage to do such a thing. I will however, no longer be preordering anything by them and I will be awaiting for reviews before I purchase anything. I have lost a great deal of trust in them and I feel being cautious is a perfect response to have.

I forget that Jade Empire was a Bioware game. I absolutely love the game, and found it as one of the absolute best you can find on the original Xbox. The combat was a tad wonky to get used to, but when you did it was a thing of glory.

That said, I've never been much a fan for Bioware specifically. Some games are good, others are awful. Most fall between there in the average zone of "meh". So giving them up isn't an issue for me. However, I can say that considering their rather... lack of decent respect for their fans, I'm probably not going to buy their products in the future.

Hell, couple their condescending means of communicating with players with the fact that their games have taken a slightly less than dramatic list to the left straight into the valley "meh", there's really no reason to ever give them a dime.

Just don't use "professional" reviews. I've found them to be rather far off base much of the time.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I could give two shits less who makes the game, as long as I enjoy the game and as long as it's fun to play and well-made. I don't care that team 4star (probably mistaken on the name) came from 4chan - Katawa Shoujo is one of the best gaming experiences I've had in a while. I don't care that Bethesda games typically have little bugs that make them quirky - that's the best part in some cases. On the contrary, even though Bioware made it, I cannot bring myself to care about Dragon Age 2 or Mass Effect 3, even though I enjoyed Bauldar's Gate and Mass Effect 2 greatly.
