Since I'm not buying games based on who made it, sure.

ME3 is a tripe, TOR is trash.

Just waiting for Guild Wars 2, as I have been for a long time.

The last Bioware game (that I know of), that I've played recently is Mass Effect 1. And I stopped playing that after picking up Tali (I think. It was the first mission after going out on the Mako). And haven't played after that.

While I admire the sheer depth the game was going for, the combat left me with a weird taste in my mouth, and no desire to continue.

There was once a time when I thought I couldn't survive without Final Fantasy, but look at me now--another one of those came out a little while ago, and I hardly noticed.
Did you get that quote from MrBtongue? Because I swear I heard that quote on one of his videos, almost EXACTLY -_-

I wasn't trying to quote him--it was the first, best example I could think of--but I suppose it's not impossible. I did watch all his stuff, and I do keep citing his videos as the Internet's best explanation of why the ending was garbage.

Hey wasn't having a go I just almost picked it up immediately :D

OT... eeeeehh meh, really. I'm not a "BioWare" fan, more of I am a "Mass Effect and Dragon Age" fan. I haven't really touched any of their other games (though I'm hoping to get some of their earlier stuff like Bulder's Gate, and yes I know I'm a noob for not checking out their early stuff, well, earlier XD) so I wouldn't really care what happens to them. It would be a shame if they were completely chewed up and spat out, because they know how to make a good story. But if they do, well, we've still got their games to remember them by.

If BioWare games were about stories they told, then they just shown they have no desire in the care to make good stories anymore...
I'll admit, I don't know if that's the exact reason--or rather, if it's the only reason. They can still do good work when they try; like MrBtongue points out, the entire Curing The Genophage bit was well done. (And I forgave the conveniently placed thresher maw because, hey, Reaper-Versus-Thresher Deathmatch. Awesome.)

But the end of a story five years in the making is the very worst time to fuck up, and if there was a bigger fuck-up possible, I can't think of it. Maybe they suddenly didn't care, maybe Casey Hudson and Mac Walters just had to show the world how incredibly goddamned clever they were, or maybe EA didn't give them enough time to do it right. Or maybe it was all of the above, or something else we don't know about. Whatever the reason, they completely blew it, and yet somehow we stupid Philistines are to blame for not comprehending the genius of their Flawless Artistic Vision.

So they've decided to pretend that simply adding another scoop of shit to our shit sundae will solve the problem, as long as they don't charge us for it. Um, no.

I still might buy their games, but I'm done supporting them on blind faith (pre-orders).
I guess I should've put it in the OP, but yeah, more or less this. I can't say for certain that I'll definitely avoid everything they do like the plague, but I'm pretty sure my days of pre-ordering collector's editions months in advance, sight unseen, are over. Hell, if I can't not get DA3, maybe I'll wait a while and then buy a used copy from Gamestop, just to spite EA.

Very easily. In fact, I already have. Once you lose faith in a developer's ability to make your time and money worth it, there's no need to keep giving them more chances. There are too many other things out there for me to waste my time hoping that one group has learned its lesson, especially when there are no indications that they have.

tbf, the only thing ive ever brought from bioware are the mass effect games and if they bring out another one (which wont have shepard) im going to buy it, but when they release something else... i probably wont care

so im not done with them but im not a massive bioware guy that will buy all their crap and seriously why is everyone pissing over them as a whole for a bad ending to a franchise + EAs dlc decisions

note. i know there are other reasons but thats the main thing most people are bitching over

If they keep doing stupid things and making bad games, then yes. It's been that way for me for every company.

I have already given up on Bioware since Dragon Age Origins. It was pretty easy for me because: I hate EA and their partners and I have a completely different vision on how rpg should be made.

I couldn't give up on Bioware. There's something about their characters and settings that get me attached and really keep me interested. Besides that, I haven't played a Bioware game that I could say I strictly "haven't enjoyed". Dragon Age 2 was a little weak for a Bioware game, but I still loved the characters, the setting and the feel. Mass Effect 3's ending was a little this side of absolutely horrific, but it's only ten minutes out of an otherwise stupefying game.

It would take a little more than all this to get me to stop buying from Bioware.

I didn't even like the first Mass Effect If I wanted to read that much, watch that many cinematics, or talk that much I'd read a book, or watch a movie, or drop some acid and have a lovely conversation with my dog. The last game they made that I liked was KOTOR. As for hating EA... WELCOME TO MY WORLD! I've despised their very existence since the first Dante's Inferno screenshot.

I may own all BioWare's classic games but my brand loyalty only reached far enough to include Mass Effect. Sure I love all their games up to Dragon Age: Origins, but after EAs acquisition they aren't the same company anymore. Mass Effect 2 & 3 are amazing games but I feel it is mostly established upon characters and universes already created 5 years ago.

And if Dragon Age 2 and the debacle around Mass Effect 3 is anything to go on I see it wise to keep on buying Bioware games that isn't stamped Mass Effect from the bargain bin.

Since I didn't see any major flaws in the so called fiascoes of Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3, no, I can't give up on BioWare. I see no reason to give up on them for minor problems, that turn out to be not that big a deal.
