I like to be a surgeon myself so accuracy the main thing I look for, but the unpleasant truth is that unless you're fighting in a series of one-on-one duels you need mobility to evade the other guys' return fire. When you're forced to fire on the move you can't count on putting every round through somebody's eye. Therefore, you need a good rate of fire so that when you miss you don't have to wait too long for a second chance.
Notable exceptions are when your damage is so light that it's effectively a Godzilla-vs-one-million-kittens fight, or your magazine is so shallow that you must reload to finish common enemies. In those situations you are, indeed, better off with your Barret .50 - even firing on the move.
