True, but if there is one thing I have learned about concealed weapons is that you need to warn the guy a few times if you don't want him to sue your balls off.dbrose said:You're way too nice, dude--sight of a firearm is all the warning anyone should need.Cody211282 said:1) Pull out gun and warn the thief
2) Load round into the chamber, warn them again
3) Disengage safety and give final warning
4) Fire warning shot into the air, tell them to leave
5) Aim at them and try to hit foot
Honestly if it gets to step 5 the guy is probably on drugs.
It's all so very pathetic.Eukaryote said:Unfortunately, that is still murder in Canada. I really wish it wasn't, I'd draw a thief's death out too.
And a more entertaining one at thatLeonLethality said:I'd probably use a taser for more shocking results

Then you'll hear about alot of shootings where people have invited someone they don't like over and shot them saying its 'defence'. It's not that black & white. To be honest a taser would be far more effective, more entertaining, more painful for the attacker and you don't have the attempted murder issue (since tasers are classified as non lethal weapons).ffian1 said:As far as I reckon, the law should be changed so that when people enter someone else's private residence with the intent to steal, maim or vandalise - they should lose their rights as a human being. *SNIP*
Ditto, brandishing a gun is likely enough insentive for him to stop... I hardly doubt shooting a man for trying to steal your Ipod would come under self-defence.Greyfox105 said:Shoot?
Nah.
Maybe point the gun in his direction.
Or pistol-whip him in the face.
No need to shoot him.
By that point it has become his fault, and honestly if you aim anywhere else you might ether hit an artery or vital organ, or worse missing and probably hitting someone else. Basically I told the guy 4 times to leave or be shot, his fault for not going away.Serris said:hit someone in the foot, and chances are good they are disabled for life (if you hit a nerve, he might be paralysed). and boy, do you pay for someone that you disabled if he takes it to court ._.Cody211282 said:1) Pull out gun and warn the thief

OT:I'd probably threaten the thief with my gun, but I wouldn't fire it.
