With my exams finally about to end I've got some free time coming up and I fancy a new game. I've been interested in these 2 for a while now but can't make up my mind. So help me out guys.

(This would be for the xbox by the way)

(also I have played the 1st 2 Mass effects)

Depends on if you've played the previous Mass Effect games or not. If you have, then I would say Mass Effect 3 so you can "finish the fight" so to speak, but if you haven't then I would say Deus Ex: Human Revolution as playing ME3 won't feel the same without all the choices from the previous two games.

Just saw that you can get DX:HR for under £10 (just) [http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms/xbox-360/deus-ex-3-human-revolution/10201857.html] so if money is an issue then that might be important

HR I guess if you absolutely had to choose

...but I still think ME3 is worth getting though...especially if you have played the other two (seems silly not to finish things off)..

I don't think it deserves to be brushed aside only because "of that certain thing we won't mention"...[small/]what? don't look at me that way[/small]

Deus Ex Human Revolution of course. My view of Mass Effect 3 is that it completely botched the entire series (not including the ending). Better that your imagination take over if you finished ME2. Deus Ex Human Revolution rewards stealth and good tactics more though.

Save for the boss fights, of course.

Goddamn boss fights; the only way I got past them was through gameplay-illegal means.

That's what I did. I saw it on the forums before I bought the game so I was ready for the bosses.
Odd. I just used my second weapon or the environment to take them down a few notches. They are quite easy if you use the environment to your advantage. I think people who complain about the bosses were just not tactical enough to take the advantage of the environment. I guess some people needed a solution handed on a platter for them.

Sorry Matthew94, wasn't trying to say you didn't use a tactic. But I remember some people were complaining that the boss fights were too hard. Was just stating that there were alternatives in the fight if you was doing a pacifist playthrough.

The bosses were hard in Deus Ex?

I killed the first one using bombs.
The second one using electricity.
The third one using the melee prompt.
The last one... with a special weapon that kills her in one hit.

They weren't hard... unimaginative yes. I'd have preffered a pacifist option too. Like sneaking around them or talking. :)

Edit: one more vote for Deus Ex by the way. I loved some of the levels. And the music... oh God, the music!

Deus Ex: HR, 110%. You should play ME3... eventually. Deus Ex: HR captures the essence and style of the original perfectly (not enough Deus Ex theme, though).
