Basically the title sums everything up. I want to either buy Deus Ex: Human Revolution or Battlefield 3. I really like FPS's and RPG's so (in my eyes at least) it's a pretty fair toss up between both. I'm also planning to buy Skyrim, if that changes anything.

Really off-topic, but is my avatar showing up? For me it's showing the broken link thing where my avatar would be.

Get Deus Ex.

TRUST ME. It's an absolutely incredible game. Best thing I have played in years.

The gunplay is smooth and smart, the stealth is great, the world is believable and deep, and you actually need to think and plan a plan of attack.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution, great game and it's down to about £17 on Amazon now if I remember correctly.

I must say however that I haven't played Battlefield 3 yet, so I have absolutely no idea of its' quality as one friend has said that it is shit and another has said that it is amazing.

BF3 is just plain boring and has a terrible single player campaign. The Co-op is pretty fun though.
Deus Ex on the other hand is a great game, good storry, smooth gunplay and the ability to choose how you deal with situations.
Or don't buy any and wait for Skyrim.

Dues Ex HR, why, its a great game, it has its flaws i'm not saying its perfect. the ending isn't what i hoped it'd be but, that's just me.

plus it is genuinely hard. especially on the Give me Dues Ex setting, imo a GOTY contender.

Why are you comparing a single player to a multiplayer game?
That's a pretty good question. Mostly because I really like multiplayer and I'm a fan of singleplayer.

Depends on what you would want most. Do you want a tactical fps with a strong emphasis on teamwork, or do you want stealth based RPG with a very lengthy and fulfilling single player. You can't go wrong with either one.

Deus Ex is a good game, boss fights aside. I would only suggest BF3 if you are a big multi-player person. Also, tbh I think MW3 would be a better choice than BF3 at the moment, if only because EA is having such a hard time keeping the servers for BF3 up.

I haven't tried BF3, but Deus Ex: Human Revolution (though it has its flaws) is one of those games everyone needs to play. It's got a little something for every kind of player, and gives you a ridiculous amount of freedom, for the most part. And that's disregarding the fact that it's simply a lot of fun.

Deus Ex 3 times a million. If Battlefield 3 was wiped off the face of the earth tomorrow, I say we'd all be better for it.

Battlefield 3.

I have both Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Battlefield 3 and I would wholly recommend the latter. There's simply far more bang for your buck. Both games are superb, but Battlefield 3 will give you limitless hours of fun. Deus Ex is cheaper, and tbh I'd wait until it gets a bit cheaper still, if your budget is tight. Battlefield 3 on the other hand is unlikely to go down in price any time soon so you may as well snap it up now.

Deus Ex and count down the days to Skyrim release.

I played the Battlefield 3 beta and wasn't impressed.

I didn't play it much due to the servers being down a hell of a lot. I haven't enjoyed an FPS since UT back in the late 90's but people kept banging on about it so thought i'd try it.

I still don't like them.

It wasn't awful but it didn't grab me.

So yeah, go for Deus Ex and smack people around until Skyrim.

Another modern military FPS, or Deus fuckin' Ex? It's not even a competition.

But in the end it all comes down to one question really: Do you prefer multiplayer or single player? If you prefer MP get BF3. Ff you prefer SP get Deus Ex.
