I did buy it, and I don't regret buying it.

I wanted to see the end of the story. It's like the gaming equivalent of going to a Michael Bay summer popcorn movie. It only took me six hours to beat it on Veteran, but so what? If I went to see three two-hour long Michael Bay movies in a theater it would have cost me the same amount of money (assuming popcorn and drink for each). And that doesn't factor in the thirty or so hours I played multiplayer.

I didn't find the multiplayer to be anything particularly special, and it definitely wasn't my favorite multiplayer of the series, but it was still a good bit of mindless entertainment whenever I felt like I needed a break from other games.

So yeah, no regrets, even if it wasn't 'the bestest game evar!!!'.

Yes. I bought it and enjoyed the shit out of it. Call of Duty is my yearly dose of big dumb fun. Cheap and easy action to keep me busy if I don't feel like playing a 'proper' game. And it works damn well.

Every year a ton of people say CoD is shit and that they won't buy it and every year the games sell a million more then they did the previous year.

The numbers don't lie people, some of you are lying.

Didn't buy it and forgot all about that game until just now.

I played MW2 and was not impressed, and I couldn't have cared less abut how the story ends.

Also, aside from playing some of AC's multiplayer, I don't play that at all, so I can't justify getting MW3 at all.

Nope... because it's still so fucking expensive over here... I generally am only willing to cough up cash based on how much playtime (with appropriate level of fun) I get out of a game. Considering my past experiences with CoD, I'm not going to bother with the MP because it'll just lead to an aneurysm, and the campaign is probably going to be something like four hours long anyway, so I'm not shelling out more than fifteen quid for it.

Though I can't really think of any decent and recent shooters to get in its stead... kinda explains why I'm just playing really old, really modded games these days... -_-

I rented MW3 & BF3.

MW3 let me play every mode there was in the game and they were all fun.

BF3 only let me play the lame campaign unless I paid an extra $10.

Any wonder why I bought MW3? There's a lesson in this EA: the online pass crap is going to cost you more sales than it gives.

I played the first 2 Modern Warfares.

While I enjoyed the first one a lot, and the second one to a lesser extent, I didn't purchase the third one, as, to me anyway, there just wasn't enough innovation to keep me interested.

If you have played JUST the first, second or third, you have played all three pretty much.

I bought it, enjoyed the campaign and still enjoying the multiplayer. I've experienced barely any of the issues people have with the community, and I'm enjoying hopping into parties with my mates for some TDM. Occasionally with shouting down a mic, only on party chat though.

yes and regretting it. I anticipated playing the multiplayer a lot like mw2, but you know Skyrim. I always told myself I would go back and get my moneys worth but I haven't and probobly wont.

I did not buy it but I did play it when Steam did a free play weekend for the game. I discovered I love trolling people with the Riot Shield in FFA.

Me personally? No.

My brother? Yes.

Working our way through the campaign together (trading the controller every few missions). Enjoying the Spec Ops and Survival decently enough, but I know I'll never touch the multiplayer.

No, I didn't buy this game. This sort of game was fun when it came out back in 2007, but with all the COD games and all of the repetitive military and/or realistic shooters released nowadays, it's just boring now.

Plus, I won't pay any money to fund Activision for bringing no innovation and simply deciding to rob gamers of their money with samey repetitive games and overpriced map packs.

I didn't bought it because I would much rather play BF 3, which i didn't bought either because i can't be hassled with origin.

And yep, this is indeed a crarebear RPG loving site, what is this crap about games being judged by only single player!! Then again i am not amazing at PvP (never went pro), i just love it :D

Hell.

No.

I might pick it up second hand in a few months time (might get MW2 and Blops as well, you never know), but full price for another installment of shooter by check list is not how I like my shooters, which I like a lot.

It's very sad that in three games Infinity Ward has gone from turning story telling in FPS's on it's head to a completely dry developer of seemingly paint by numbers games. I dread to think what's going to happen in MW4 when we find out that Makarov's shoe polisher was behind the whole thing.

I did however buy BF3, both for PC and 360, so for all that I am evidently still thick as a plank. Awful, regretted it immensely, the discs were gone and away on eBay before Christmas came round. Went back to playing BF2, the expansions are free for that now...

I did but I traded it in 2 weeks later cause the multiplayer was shit. It was outright broken at the time and I lost patience

I'll admit that I bought it.
Though I haven't touched it in a few moths and I will never buy another COD game in my life.

I rented it. What does that do to your precious poll? :p
In all honesty I wanted to see how the story ended and that was about it.
