I got it. Sure CoD is repetitive and can be very annoying but is good for the times in between big releases that I can just go and play something I find decently entertaining.

I bought it, but only because I found it really cheap, close to 15 euros with free shipping. I don't think I would have paid much more for it, and I won't spend any money on DLC. At that price though, yeah. Got some entertainment out of it.

I release that RPG-snob central the Escapist forums are hardly the ideal place to ask this question, but sadly I lack the capacity to ask the entire internet.
Ok, the last few posts I have seen from you have had some generalized, passive-aggressive and snide attack directed towards different groups of people in them. Can I kindly ask, what is your problem?
Really? What were the other ones?

'Cause I'm pretty sure I've filled my snide attack quota for today.

I bought MW3, I have Elite, and have greatly enjoyed it and will continue to greatly enjoy the game until either my friends who play it stop or CoD9 comes out, in which case we all migrate to that one and enjoy that one greatly.

It's always fun to come into these threads to look at all the people trashing the game (although there's much less of that here than usual, which is strange):

Yes, "It's just like every Call of Duty game EVAR!!!" argument; it's just like every other game. Just like every Final Fantasy is the same, every Mass Effect is the same, every "_____ game" is the same as "______ game 2".

Yes, "Only sheep buy these games!!!" argument; we're all living in a corporate driven trance while you run around with your special glasses (See They Live if you don't get the joke).

Yes, "It's Shit" argument; your argument was so compelling that I went and burned all of my Call of Duty stuff so that I'm never tempted by that shit again.
See, I played the first 2 Mass Effect games, and found them very different.

Can't say for all Final Fantasy games, but the ones I have played have fairly different mechanics as well.

I didn't buy it. I don't like reality in games and I especially hate war stories. I haven't bought a single one from that series or any other series like it. I can't wait til the next genre trend comes out because this gens is terrible.

Yep, it is the one game that all of my friends will play. So I did buy it, I played about 20 hours of MP and went back to BF3

I pre-ordered the game+cod elite and then got another copy (Best buy mistakenly sent me MW3 instead of the cheaper game I wanted so I sold it and ended up with the other game + $10).

I've spent 100+ hours on multiplayer alone so it's well worth it to me.
Yes, it's true not much has changed from MW2 other than balancing. I don't care what you haters say, if playing and loving MW3 makes me shit, then I'm a DOUBLE BACON SHIT WITH LARGE FRIES!

Also, zombies doesn't fucking count. If you want zombies buy the infinitely superior Left 4 Dead games. Hell, even Dead Island does zombies better than CoD ever will.
IMO, CoD does Zombies better then Left 4 Dead. Because in Left 4 Dead it doesn't feel like I am shooting zombies. Instead it feels like I am shooting regular people just running at me. Plus it doesn't give a real sense of survival. In CoD you're in one area trying to fend off hordes.

But when you take that away and all you're doing is going from Point A to B. Then it doesn't really like you're trying to survive but rather just traveling with people attacking you between points.

In CoD because you're in one area it makes the game a lot more challenging. Ammo can quickly become a problem and since the game doesn't have a difficulty scale for Zombies it just makes it that much harder because of the increase in difficulty as you go on.

Hell Dead Island did a better job at conveying Zombies then Left 4 Dead and because it shares one feature with CoD.

Even one zombie can be the end of you. While in CoD you can get a thing to increase you're health. If you're not careful and paying attention then you can be killed by that one zombie. Same goes for Dead Island.

Yep, bought it and still playing it. The Multiplayer is fun, if not a bit nerve racking at times, but I love playing Headquarters mode so yeah.

I'm also probably just easily entertained, but I play the crap out of Solo Survival mode. I'm at level 50 and I've got all the Trophies in Survival unlocked. Right now I'm giving myself fun challenges like seeing how far I can go Quickscoping only with an MSR, using handguns only, etc. It's a blast I tell you.

No, but I got BF3. CoD ain't my style, BF is what I've always played, and what my friends play too (And is superior ;)).
Either way though, no, didn't buy MW3, nor any CoD game, nor will I ever.

Nope. This is mainly because haven't bought any Call of Duty, Medal of Honor or, Battlefield title before it. I rented Modern Warfare 2 and beat the campaign in a day and a half and while I was somewhat interested in Call of Duty 4 for about a week (earlier this month) I already know how it ends and am not entirely bothered to play the thing. The closest thing I got to it would be Sniper: Ghost Warrior and between that and the other three FPS games I've been playing recently I'm feeling burned on the genre in general.

If Activision really wanted my money they would revive Guitar Hero and make one centered around Dethklok. That won't happen though because I couldn't give a dollar the the first 1,500 people who bought Call of Duty 4.75...or...4.82...?

No way. I won't play it either unless someone is pointing a gun to my head. I haven't enjoyed Call of Duty since the very first game and it holds no interest for me so I can very easily avoid it.

In short, no.

I bought it on Steam, mainly because it came with a copy of COD4 (I lost my old copy). Since release, I've played a total of 6hrs. 4hrs on singleplayer, 2hrs on multiplayer. I don't plan on playing any more.

It was, as expected, a truly terrible game. I regret my purchase.
