I ate gifs that move really fast, like a bunch of 1 frame pictures when there are 100 frames. Too much action gets really distracting.

Slightly biased poll there. Where is an option to say you like them but don't have one? Your poll is pretty much seven shades of "How much do you hate them?" Which is somewhat leading...

There's been one of a blackbird coming over a hill and one of a girl popping a bubble on her head that I have saved to my hard drive I liked them so much. Just as well, because the creator changed them later. If anything they can be a nice distraction from a mundane topic. (Not that I'm implying this is one)

Find the relevant gif, resize it to 75x75 (if not a square, the bigger dimension is 75 pixels) (use <link=http://www.online-image-editor.com/index.cfm>this) and use it as your avatar. Voila!

Overall, I like Gif avatars. Some of them are very funny and amusing. I ignore most of the others, especially anime, and there are very very few that I hate. Sorry Dags.

They're my one pet hate. I simply HATE the concept of using a GIF avatar. It is stupid.

Anyways, I find them quite amusing, even if you find them Shallow and Pedantic. They can be really funny, and a lot of times, anime is involved. It's fun.

Depends how long i have to look at it(a long comment) and how fast it's going by or how much colour it has.

Also i would very much like to murder everyone who has a gif avatar where you can clearly see the start and ending. If it's gonna be there the whole time and put on a low interval then for the love of god make it flow a little.

Only one GIF avatar has ever bugged me, and that was a moving bug avatar. I always see it out of the corner of my eye and think I have a bug on my monitor.

Depends on the gif, really. Some are fun, some are subtle and then there's the chaotic ones where you don't really know what the hell is going on. I wish those would disappear.
