Poll: Do Girls Like Super Smash Brothers?

In my travels, I've largely found that boys like and play Super Smash Brothers while girls do not, to what extent are my findings accurate? Whether you're a boy or girl, vote depending on your personal findings, not just what you think

Never found the appeal, despite the fact numerous people said I 'should' love it for loving Street Fighter

I can name three girls that I know like Super Smash Bros. One of them could probably go pro if she wanted to, she's amazing at the game.

Yes, they all do.
Because girls are a completely homogeneous group and every girl likes the same things.

I suppose people who like fighting games like SSB, and the cutesy style might appeal to more feminine people.
I don't know though. SSB is the kind of game that almost anyone can like. It's a pretty accesible game.

My group of friends and I usually play it on the weekends. Guys usually outnumber girls but not by much.

Yeah, girls like it.

And it's the kind of game (multi-player, party-game that's easy enough to get started with) women (and men) who don't usually play much would be more inclined to play, in my experience.

Well, me and my sister just finished playing some of Brawl's Subspace adventure story whatever mode. Seeing as there were no bribes or threats involved with her playing, the logical conclusion; She likes Smash Brothers.
A friend I have who is also not a bloke likes it, even though she's only played it a couple of times. Alarmingly good as Donkey Kong, given the short time she's played.

I'm a girl and I love the game. Are you sure the girls you asked just didn't like video games in general? I always thought SSB was one of the most universally loved games of all time. Of course everyone is different and sweeping assumptions are ridiculous, but I think I've only heard one person actually say they didn't like it so much.

I have a friend that is a girl and she says she enjoys it. I didn't too much. In truth, I thought that girls liked it so they added jigglypuff.

What a person likes is not based on gender, it's based on personal preferences.

Personally, I'm a woman (because I am not twelve and hence not a girl), and I both like SSB and am pretty damn good at it. I prefer other fighting games (along the lines of Mortal Kombat), though, but no-one wants to play those with me.

Also, my sister loves it and she's a cheating whore also pretty good at it. My cousin loves it too, but she is ten and loves any and every game I let her play (and is sorely disappointed every time I tell her that I'm sure my aunt and uncle wouldn't be too happy if I let her play M-rated games), so I'm not sure she counts.
