Poll: Do Wii fanboys exist?

I like the Wii and Nintendo; just not for all the crappy repetition with mario, zelda, metroid, lather, repeat. I like the stuff Nintendo simply publishes because the game had nowhere else to go.

The Wii is great, but mandatory motion controls fuck it over so much.

Of course they exist! There's fanboys for everything. Although I do have to give the Wii devotees some credit, as they're not as obnoxious as some of us 360 and PC fans can be.

Of course there are. I would have thought out of the amount of people who have owned/played one it would be statistically impossible for there not to be fanboy/girls for it.

I wouldn't worry about the Wii bashing either, people love bashing things on here. It's cool don't you know, especially if everyone else or Yahtzee also does it.

Yes, but they're less Wii-fanboys than they are just Nintendo-fanboys who are showing devotion to Nintendo's newest console.
On note though, there are fanboys for everything. I still have a Dreamcast shirt to prove it.

"Better" than any other console? No. None of the current generation consoles takes precedence in that regard. They're all decent pieces of hardware that have lists one can use to build a tolerable game library.

I'll click yes anyway, though. My only current gen console is a Wii, and I've yet to be disappointed in it.

So to preface: I could not care less about HD, Blue Ray, any of that. Just give me good gameplay.

When Nintendo produces games of its own (Zelda, Mario, Metroid, SSB, etc) they are well-executed and quality. Everyone knows its the 3rd party developers that make the awful games. Also, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 is best on the Wii. You're gonna find far far more crap on the Wii, but that's because their are a lot of Wii owners who are relatively new to gaming and therefore easily exploited. You'll find as much quality as you will on other platforms.
The Virtual Console is underrated. Ocarina of Time for $5? So many classics.
So yea, theres a lot to hate, but those games aren't marketed towards us anyway.

I also have an Xbox (60 GB hard drive for $70 off of Ebay - Christmas Day Ebay shopping is where its at). PS3 is harder to find cheap and doesn't have enough exclusives that interest me to warrant a purchase.

I used to be one but got sick and tired of constantly hearing "mate, you need a proper console" and "goo goo gaa gaa, mario and zelda? What are you a baby?)

I even argued with one of my friends over which was better: Halo 3 or Metroid Prime 3.


A few months later I bought a 360 because it was the cheaper than the PS3 and I could play Devil May Cry 4 on it.

I am a Nintendo fanboy, but I'm not a Wii fanboy. I'm really more of a NES/SNES/N64 fanboy with tolerance for the GC/Wii because, well I mean come on, these people made Ocarina of Time!
