There's an achievement for using the search button...

I like achievements. When you do something really hard or interesting, you can get rewarded for it, and people will know that you've done said thing.
I looked but I guess not hard enough sorry...

I dunno, I always thought that a really neat idea for GamerScore (and Trophies, for that matter) is that you can use them to purchase things off the Marketplace (a Map Pack is 5000 GS, for example). I don't know if that example is priced to high, too low, or whatever, but I think it would be a good idea because it would encourage people to buy and play more games to get free stuff out of it.

Unless they do that, whenever I unlock an achievement, I say "I'm awesome" and then move on.

Personally I don't hate them, Its always cool to get a hard achievement but that said I won't play any game just for them. That said I have started playing harder difficulties for them.

I don't really care but I do sometimes catch myself trying to get an achievement. They could be fun at times and switch your tactics in games.

Is it just me or is the order of your badges different to the default? If that's the case, this statement is a bit off.

I don't own an XBox, so no achievements for the gits. Though I care enough to get them, just so I can quietly put down my achievements in the right company.

I personally don't but I know people who swear on their gamerscore.
I have a 360 and PS3

In my opinion

I prefer Trophies then Achievements because one Trophy is more rewarding then 5 Achievements but thats my opinion

I'd like the, but it's not like I'll go 1 hour of gaming to get 20 GS.

ok i voted, the "I would do anything..." but realistically i dont care about the gamerscore, i care about the achievements themselves.. they add a huge replayability value to the game and some of them are good fun to get...

but the only thing i truely hate... is when games put on achievements for online play(such as like, play 1000 matches online).. or something that you can only get by buying DLC... that pisses me off..

They present a great challenge (well, some do: My most difficult achievement was 'One free bullet' in Half life 2 episode 1, and I will never go through so much agony for an achievement again.), but I don't try to compare mine with anyone elses. Partially because if divided by the amount of games I've played, It would be about 12.

I begin to like achievements after I complete a game, it gives a sort of side challenge. I especially like the ones that ask for strange playing methods, kinda spices up the gameplay a bit and adds replayability, and there's nothing to hate about that.
