Speaking as a currently sober pisshead, I completely respect your decision not to drink. Me, personally, if someone says they don't drink because of their religion, because they're driving, or just because they don't like it I'll understand and won't push it. What's the point if they're not having fun? But I know a lot of my mates can be a bit more aggressive.boots said:Nope, been teetotal for five years. Don't like the taste, effect or cost. No judgement on people who do drink, it's just a personal preference.
People are amazingly intolerant of it, actually. I've been in situations where I've had to say "no" fifty times to people who try to insist on just one drink, and even had people try to spike my drink with alcohol to trick me into it. Unfortunately for them I have a nose.
Anyway, on behalf of all of us who wouldn't try slipping rum into your coke, sorry for all the dickheads trying to slip rum into your coke.
I will say that what I don't respect is people who don't like drinking but force themselves into it in order to conform with the group. Once again, what's the point if they're not having fun?
