Nope, been teetotal for five years. Don't like the taste, effect or cost. No judgement on people who do drink, it's just a personal preference.

People are amazingly intolerant of it, actually. I've been in situations where I've had to say "no" fifty times to people who try to insist on just one drink, and even had people try to spike my drink with alcohol to trick me into it. Unfortunately for them I have a nose.
Speaking as a currently sober pisshead, I completely respect your decision not to drink. Me, personally, if someone says they don't drink because of their religion, because they're driving, or just because they don't like it I'll understand and won't push it. What's the point if they're not having fun? But I know a lot of my mates can be a bit more aggressive.
Anyway, on behalf of all of us who wouldn't try slipping rum into your coke, sorry for all the dickheads trying to slip rum into your coke.

I will say that what I don't respect is people who don't like drinking but force themselves into it in order to conform with the group. Once again, what's the point if they're not having fun?

Yeah, in moderation.

I've really gotten into pale ale recently, Lancaster Bomber, Woodpecker, Old Speckled Hen, and the like. I find the brew to be much more full bodied than lager (which just tastes very tart to me now).

When it comes to the stronger stuff, just give me a double Jagermeister over ice to enjoy slowly, and I'm sorted.

Hell yes. Not, however, as much as I used to as I am rather more impecunious at present.

But I do enjoy me some good old fashioned alcohol. Whiskey and beer are my favourites.

I have certainly over-indulged before, but hey, it's part of being young. Now I stick to no more than 8 pints when I go to the pub :D

I can appreciate a drink rarely to loosen me up socially but I'm definitely not one for getting drunk. When I do drink I prefer straight vodka to get the actual act of drinking over with quickly, I absolutely hate beer or cider or anything that you have to drink a lot of to get the desired effect, if I quickly drink some vodka I can get back to drinking something that is actually enjoyable to drink. I am rather good at drinking alcohol though, I've usually been able to keep it under control and not overdo it and I've never been hungover even after being quite drunk.

I never drink by myself, but I love to knock down a few when I'm with friends. I am rather fond of Malibu, and beer always works as well.

I never drink to get drunk though. A lot of my friends do, but I remember a few years back when I turned sixteen and was now of legal age to drink I went crazy and... it didn't end particularly well. After that I've always been rather keen on not crossing the border to drunken fist land :p

Much less than I used to to say the least, I mean there are days in a row of sobreiety now and I just drink on the weekends.

Doesn't stop me fromw aking up on a Sunday morning and pissing out whisky though. Trying hard not to get back into the drinking culture just because of generic depressive cycles.

No, because of a general dislike of psychoactive drugs. With the exception of caffeine, but only because tea is awesome.

As with all things, moderation is key. I shall never be found piss drunk. I however do not mind the feeling of "smooth" movement, while retaining cognitive functionality.
A drink every now and then is not unheard of, if it tastes good, it goes down the hatch.
Was in Akureiry, Iceland last summer and there was this nice little pub Brugghúsbarinn and while admittedly I have not sampled a lot of drinks, it had the best dark brew I have had, strongly reccomend visiting it if you happen to be in the area (bonus points for having exellent service).
In a way having a good drink in a nice place is like investing into a pleasant experience. You sit there sip your chosen "poison", listen to fine music and at the end of the pint or two walk away with probably jollyier mood than you came there.

An exagerated difference between having had a drink and being drunk.

Nope, teetotal.

On the few occasions I have had alcoholic drinks I could feel it getting to me straight away, for some that buzz is enjoyable, I found it aggravating.

I drink. And by drink I mean I'll have half a bottle of bear over the course of 4 hours.
I don't hate it [Well, I hate beer, but give me Scotch which I like and its the same story], its just not something I feel like drinking quickly. Get softdrink and my body tells me to drink more. Get alcohol and its just like "Yeah, not that thirsty ATM. You don't need to keep drinking". Alcohol mixed with soft drink negates that, but even then I don't drink a ton. Usually 'cause I'm taking other people's alcohol rather than spending money on the stuff myself, and whilst they're very generous I don't exactly like taking a lot of stuff and giving nothing back.

I've gotten into this habit of not drinking on weeknights lately... I don't like it, at least when I wake up with a hangover I'll feel better later.

Do I drink? Not right now, no.
I enjoy German beer and Scotch, but very rarely so.

I used to drink a lot on weekends, and I mean a lot. Me and this mate of mine used to do drinking contests whenever we were both out. Doing dumb stuff like drinking a whole bottle of whiskey between the two of us.

These days I'm a tea-totaler, due to the medication I'm taking I have to be. Strange thing is I don't miss, not one bit.

No I don't drink it because I don't like the taste.
Sure I probably will get used to the taste if I drank more of it but since I am not in a enviroment to be pressure to drink more (don't go to the pub or bar and I'm not hanging around with my former friends who drink those stuff) I choose not to drink it.

I once went a month without drinking: never doing that again. It was a social experiment to see if would make any difference if I'd be drunk or not. Still went to bars with friends and it was horrific!
As a Finn, alcohol is the one national past-time we all enjoy and need, people claiming otherwise are uncivilized buffoons. But you must also remember the saying: "Alcohol doesn't always require fun."

I go to my local pub most Thursday nights with some friends to do the pub quiz and play some pool so I normally drink 3 or 4 pints a week. I seem to do better at the quiz once I've had a drink, the same cannot be said when playing pool.

Nope, I like to be in control. Same reason I don't smoke anything.

I don't think it's illogical to find the stuff repulsive. I find it's pretty natural.

Do and like it. Mostly I just have 1 or 2 after school or in the afternoon. But I do maybe once a month get properly drunk. Where I'm from binge-drinking has been the norm for a long time and it's only with my generation and perhaps my parent's that moderate casual drinking is being accepted. Many still think that drinking on a Thursday makes you an alcoholic.
