I plan on becoming an alcoholic when I grow up, that way I won't have to deal with my problems.

Alcohol has always been present since I was a kid, back then it was nothing more than sips.
I started drinking at around 15/16 at parties and family events.
When I turned 18 and was allowed to go out to pubs and clubs, I did so rarely.
Nowadays I go out and drink occasionally. Sometimes I just have a few. Other times I write myself off completely...Then the next day I vow to never do that again.

This is always fun. The straight edge kids come out with the "I don't like the feeling of not being in control, and anyone who does is a STUPID FUCKING COWARD ALCOHOLIC WHO RUNS AWAY FROM REALITY!" Then the partiers come in and say "Chill the fuck out dude, Let people do what the fuck the want. It's our bodies, and if we want to have fun that's our choice. Your a ***** for hatin' something you haven't tried"

Because no matter what your viewpoint, YOU ARE RIGHT. ALWAYS. Those who disagree are just So stupid right?

Tribalism ftw.

And yeah, I get drunk occasionally. Only Think I really have liked the taste of is Captain Jack's spiced rum, and Jameson. Although I assume I'll find more I like once I can buy the shit though.
Not everyone's like that.
True, but I did predict the best flame war of the month by the thread title :D

These threads just never end well, especially in a community as self-righteous, arrogant and judgmental (Not naming any names) as the escapist.

I started drinking alcohol regularly when I was 14 years old and drank at the very least once a week for years. Looking back I wish I didn't drink so much since it messed up my social skills a bit. I need to be drunk to feel good.

These days I have cut down a lot and I very rarely go to the pub. It's due to the lack of drinking friends though. I broke up with my last ones a year ago and haven't been that intrested in finding new ones, but if I had I'd probably still be out drinking once a week.
Damn expensive though, so it's for the best. Now I can afford to buy lots of video games instead!

Sure do. Love a good cold beer with some hot wings after a crappy day of work or school. Maybe if you're lucky the bar is showing a good game. And believe me anyone on here who actually drinks beer knows there is beer, and then there is good beer.

Not really, no. Maybe twice a year. Three at max.

Then I moved to Sweden. Things changed. Dramatically. -_-'

I would hardly consider drinking soda a healthy alternative. In fact your probably better of drinking booze. Assuming it's not some premix in which case you get unhealthy amounts of sugar and the alcohol. As for me, of course i do i live in Australia so there's fuck all else to do. i jest, there's plenty to do.

Yep, a fair amount, I love the stuff. Probably to much, but it's a good way to destress and just have a bit of a laugh.
Pretty much this. Some would think I drink in excess, but they just don't know how to have a good time.

I maybe drink like once a month. But then I usually get wasted and swear to never drink again ;_;

I have a very short and selective memory span. What was this thread about again?

Rarly

I have found some drinks that are good. Though nothing thats stands out. I see no point in drinking alcohol when there are just as good or better non alcholic drinks.

Rarely, about once a year. Around one bottle of red wine around Christmas. And I'm 23.

It's not religious or moral reasons, nothing like that, I just don't get anything out of it. I've never enjoyed being drunk, and other drunk people disgust me.

To be honest I drank more when I was underage than I do now I am of age, that's not to say I don't drink much anymore, I just drink less - which most people classify as to be a lot, I also drink more because I enjoy it and I like the taste rather than to just get drunk (as all underage drinkers do).
