No and I don't intend to anytime soon. I don't see any good that can come of it and i've seen a family members life ruined because of it. No way am I drinking alchohol, no matter how much peer pressure I get. ;)

I don't drink beer or wine, as I dislike the taste, but I love whiskeys and other more alcoholic drinks. I've never drunk enough to really be drunk, as I dislike the idea of not being in control (although, when I drink, I drink at home alone or in a small company) plus I kinda get depressed and sleepy if I have too much, and as the alcohol-content for the stuff I drink is high, I don't drink much at once.

I drink rarely, months or half a year will pass without alcohol, but then I can for week drink every night, usually since I have gotten hold of something especially good.
And when I drink, it's mainly for the taste, although sometimes I take some to relax.

My mother and her husband drink often, meaning they use wine with their food, and he drinks beer often, but they never drink enough to be drunk.

Fuck no, shit tastes like crap, and the following hangover sucks something fierce.

I've never understood how people could like that stuff, really causes me to lose a lot of respect for people when I find out that they do drink it.
I probably should have mentioned that earlier, the folks that I know that drink are a bunch of fucking lunatics, the loss of respect comes from when I meet someone new, learn that they drink, ask about them, and find out they're known for engaging in the same illegal acts as the other lunatics in my town after drinking.

So from what I've witnessed in my time on Earth? Drinking = Lunacy = Loss of respect.

Were any of them to prove that they don't go and start engaging in illegal activities after drinking I might respect them some more, but alas, that situation has yet to present itself.

I'm actually a pretty mean drunk compared to being a fairly nice (if somewhat grumpy-looking) guy when sober, so no, you wouldn't like me better when I'm drinking.

Not to mention that my alcohal tolerance is pretty much zero.

Also, I just have to say, if liquor is a requirement to make yourself and others around you interesting and capable of having a good time, you must be a pretty damn dull person with dull associates indeed.
You don't seem to want to give anyone a chance to prove that they don't engage in illegal activities after drinking although you could easily find that out by comparing drinks sales and crime rates. One goes up with the other admittedly but you'd also discover that not every person who drinks is doing what your "lunatic" townsfolk are doing.
And the word isn't lunatic, it's moron or fuckwit. There's nothing crazy about it, they're just cretins.

Basically, the whole drinking world is nothing like those people and we don't want to be judged by your narrow-minded, one-town attitude.

I also never said I'd like you better when YOU were drinking, only when I was drinking.
You've stated you have little experience with drinking and I believe that if you see more of the world than these cretins you associate the rest of us with you might have a different opinion. You never know, you might be able to enjoy the occasional drink(ing binge) without anyone thinking you're a dick.

I don't appreciate me or my friends being called dull although I do appreciate the irony of such a sentiment coming from you. Me and my close friends have had enough good times sober to appreciate the intensified wit and hilarity that enough imbibing brings. We know how to have fun and we don't abstain from indulging in a world-renowned, long-standing pleasurable activity because of our unwarranted self-importance.

I drink, and have done since I was... 14 or 15. Whenever the facial hair started to look convincing and I started wearing a suit rather than the school uniform.

I'm a luscious lush :D
I'm Australian, so I was raised on alcohol. I remember stealing beer from my dad's beer mug at like 3-years of age.

I spent over 300 dollars on alcohol this weekend o_O

I got so wasted at a party, but I got some action so it was all good.

Being a mix of German and Australian, I cannot survive without a drop every 2 hours.

On a serious note: I'm of legal age (18) and have a drinking night maybe once a month. Never been drunk, never want to be.

22 years old, and I drink.

I don't drink heavily, however...and I'm thankful I'm not addicted or anything. I just enjoy some of the drinks that are alcoholic...like an Irish Coffee, for instance. Yum. <3

Yes, you're right, I am pretty damn narrow-minded when it comes to alcohol, as most people would be had they been on the recieving end of a metric fuckton of emotional abuse with alcohol as the fuel for the fire.

And the whole 'never giving them a second chance thing isn't true, I've asked around a LOT, these idiots do this kind of idiotic crap on a fairly regualr basis, the only reason they haven't been jailed for it is because this town's police force is very indifferent to the whole charade, and can't be bothered to do anything about it.

Maybe I do need to see the rest of the world before I judge the lot of you, but for now, since my only real-world expeirance with drinkers is 'assholes and moronic dumbfucks,' my opinion on them isn't going to change any time soon.

OT: Yes I do, Usually when going out with friend in the weekend. Although I'd like to say this you don't need to drink to have a good time, always do what YOU enjoy and never wat others want you to do.

I'm not an alcoholic. I'm a drunk. Alcoholics go to meetings.

Yeah, I'm sure that has been done somewhere in the last 10 pages. And if it hasn't someone dropped the ball.

I'm more of a social drinker. But I do it when I want and on my terms. When I go out with friends, I'm willing to be the DD (designated driver), though I'll have a few beers and/or shots while we're out. And when at home, I tend to make some drinks.

So, I drink, but I like to think I keep a good balance and maintain control over it rather than the other way around. Keep in mind, that at 26 years old, I've only gotten so drunk I vomited maybe 3 times in my whole life. And I only drink with company. Sometimes not even then, if I don't feel like it.

I am almost 22 and I live in a country where drinking alcohol is the norm. So as you can imagine...I don't touch the stuff. :p

But really, I just don't find it appealing. It's not like I haven't tried it at several points in my life and I just don't like it. Not to mention it is an enormous expense to maintain such a habit.

I don't berate others for drinking alcohol, but it's just not for me.
