I thought I had lost the love of games. I thought I was just growing up, and then a little game called Rayman Origins popped up and I played that game for hours.
It was the first time in years that I invited people around to play a game with me at my house, it was bright, it was fun, and I swear I don't work for Ubisoft.
After that, I bought a snes and I've been playing Yoshi's Island, and reliving my childhood games.
I just hope developers put out some more games that are genuine silly fun, and less grey, lifeless shooters so I can continue gaming for years to come.
(I also think the lack of genuine multiplayer, i.e. people in the same room, was a large part of my distaste in games. I'm a social butterfly yo!)
