Poll: Do you fear death?

I recently started reading Gaiman's Sandman series, I'm quite looking forward to meeting her, she seems like a truly nice person entity.

Seriously though, death is nothing to be afraid of (since I don't believe in an afterlife it's just nothingness), dying is (more to the point I fear pain).

Isn't the idea of there being nothingness afterwards all the more reason to fear death? To live as long as possible and squeeze the most out of it, because it's all you're going to get?

I would rather take pain over death.

I find the idea of nothingness quite comforting, no more pain, sorrow, regrets, anything. Nothing is not something to be afraid of, it's nothing, oblivion, peace.

You see.. I'm kind of excited to see the afterlife.. I mean, I have said many times before my theory on reincarnation, and I kinda want to see if I'm correct. Just like how an inventor, who put all his faith and work wants to see if the device he's built works..

Yes, I understand that I won't be able to tell anyone about it or anything, but just me myself knowing whether I am right or wrong in death would be good enough for me.

Yeah I agree. If I were to be, say, shot to death, I'd rather be shot in the chest than the head, so i have a few moments to say "HOLY CRAP THAT BASTARD SHOT ME!" and then die.
I aint scared of dieing, im scared of afterwards, of the nothing.
The thing that pisses me off the most is not learning anything new. I'd be completely fine with dieing if i knew i would be a ghost afterwards and i could listen to future music and learn about future technologies and such..
And I want to be remembered, so I'm going out with a bang. I want to be either the guy that does something heroic on a battlefield or something, or saying something badass with my final breath.
EDIT: I'm not scared of dieing, UNLESS IT'S BEING TORTURED TO DEATH.

I fear death in a normal healthy amount that most human beings do. Though I am one of those wacky individuals who believe in an afterlife and the loving embrace of eternal bliss.

Death is as important as life, and completely linked to it. Whatever comes in life, it comes. I've been close to death twice, and being a fast learner, I've learnt to accept it.
