The reason I decided to make this poll was for the sole fact that I feel completely untalented while everyone I know is talented in many different ways I realized im just bland. I cant do jack crap which makes me depressed, does anyone else feel this way?
1) Get the Fruity Loops program and make some Amateur music... very easy, very fun.

2) Write a book or short story. Providing you have good grammar and a good imagination there is no limit to your success.

3) Choose something (anything) you really love and practice the hell out of it. You will become 'talented' with the experience you gain.

I'm trying to learn as many useless skills as possible, and being able to solve a rubic cube in 44 seconds and juggle I feel pretty good son.

At the moment I do untalented, I just haven't found something I am good at yet I think.

Talent is meaningless. Anyone can get good at anything with enough hard work. All talent provides is a little boost at the beginning stages.

That said, I am pretty untalented. I am also unskilled. I'm basically completely useless at and for everything.
I stopped caring a long time ago, though.

I play some guitar, and also I am a judo brown belt.

Some other things too.

I'm okay at drawing, can box, and am a competent long distance runner. All of those came through hours of practice, as none came naturally to me.

I've tried picking up instruments, and I think I might have been pretty naturally good at the piano, but then my teacher died and I haven't picked it up again.

I don't recall feeling untalented. Ever since seventh grade, I've shown talent in creative writing that is at a level some take years to get to. (Hey, I was better than Stephanie Meyer then, and even better now, so I guess I could make it, huh? :p) It wasn't until this previous year that I actually became interested in it. Considering this is also my only talent, (outside of drawing, but I'm more of a sketch artist) I've assumed the goal of getting into some kind of writing career.

Yep. Like 99.9 percent of the population (if you're reading this chances are it DOES include you, don't delude yourself) I'm completely and utterly talentless and don't really have the drive to stick with anything long enough to get good at it. And remember just because you spent 2k on a guitar it doesn't make you Hendrix. Yeah, yeah I know you have all those lessons and you're trying really hard. Nobody cares. Same compost heap.

If you couldn't tell I kind of think about this a lot. Mainly because my girlfriend is a professional opera singer, when someone you're close to is THAT talented it does tend to drive the point home that you really really aren't. Love her though.

I'm a master at Tetris. That's my one and only talent, and I'll stick with it through thick and thin.

I do at times, but then I remember that I'm consistently top of my class and regional champion in badminton. I remember when I felt I was untalented though. I'm trying to learn the guitar at the moment but it's going quite slowly (I can't find the time to practise) and that gets me down a bit. Keep your head up mate, it'll change ;)

My own opinion is that I'm average all across the board. There's things I'm reasonably good at, but nothing exceptional. Also, I like to think that it's better to simply accept that some people are going to be more talented than you, and not let it get to you. That's just the way it is. I find It rarely diminishes your own talent, anyway.

I wish I could play an instrument. but im 6'3 and I have huge feet and hands. I hands are too big to play a guitar efficiently, cant dance and people dont trust me with equipment thats expensive. my untalentness/self esteem problem is so low I dont even want to get into a car to learn to drive because I feel like its too much to handle and ill kill someone. ugh.
Good news, hand size has absolutely nothing to do with playing a stringed instrument. I'm a small guy, with small hands, but I love the extra space with bass. I know guys that just as big and play guitar with ease. And just to prove it to you, watch Steve Vai= huge hands. The secret to any instrument, is you are going to suck at first, just take your time and keep practicing.

Just stay focused while you drive, and that's all there is too it.

And people don't trust me with expensive equipment either...

I'm a fairly good writer, actually. I'm on the newspaper at my high school, and managed to win second place for column writing in a state competition last year. I can also draw, paint, do photoshop art and whatnot, but I haven't been focusing on those things lately.

Hey, I'm totally talented at being untalented. I mean, that's something, right?
On topic now: I think everyone has a certain talent, a certain thing that he can do and the average person can't. You're problem is that you can't figure out what it is, that's all.
It could be something physical related(good swimmer, good kisser), something that needs dexterity(good with a guitar), or just something mind-based(you have a photographic memory, or you can calculate fast).
Take my advice and don't make a fuss about it, you'll find out in due time.
I like to think that my special talent is to understand and easily learn anything that's related to programming(but I might the wrong).

No. Thinking that way doesn't help anyone, so I don't do it.

It's likely true, but I don't think that way.
