Title says it all, just wondering.

I'm going to ask "someone" to be my girlfriend tomorrow, just before going into vacations for two weeks.

Anyway, I think title says it all. I thought it would be a rather interesting question to make to the Escapists.
No. A lot of bullying during my teen years has made me shell up, so I'm very much afraid to commit.
I also feel your pain, with the added awkwardness that I'm now worshipped (and thus have almost no idea how to act).

Another issue of mine is that I have long hair, and will not cut it. Seriously, I just look awful with short hair. I know there are lots of girls that like long-haired guys, but I haven't found them yet, or they're being very quiet about it :p
Wait, why are you worshiped? Are you Jesus?
Strangely enough, yes. After a particularly epic gig, there is now a whole bunch of people who know me only as Jesus, Lord of Metal \m/_.
That. Is. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's your band name? And do you have any songs out?

Well, having a girlfriend would require some life-changing decisions on my part... But I do have a boyfriend... how's that?

Used to.
Don't really want one after that.
Sum's it up pretty well, went out with a girl for 3 years and she was a bit...unstable? Kinda fucked me over, but I guess you live and learn.

I find this thread somewhat depressing.
Alas, I have had girlfriends in the past but they didn't work out so well. I am happy being single to be honest but the media keeps trying to force me to think otherwise.

I am 'roadie, awesome, and official moshbeast' of Forgotten Martyr. We have a couple of low-quality youtube videos, and with luck we may be recording soon :)
And, funnily enough, one of the videos (of the first practice session together as a band) has me doing WINmills, which earned me the above title.

No girlfriend here. I'm married, do you have any idea how hard it would be to have a girlfriend while being married. Since I'm not Tiger Woods or any male elected offical, right now, the answer is damn near impossible.

Nope. Never had one. I'm 19 for the record. Let the taunting - begin!!
I'm 21 in may ... Sorry, I am a bit of a story topper.

Just a little explanation why, couples younger than me annoy me. They have been together an hour and there so in love, there going to be together forever and have loads of kids ... next week there broken up and shes pregnant. They change partners more than they change there underwear.

Another thing people seem to do, be so in love they accidentally sleep with another person.

It's also alot of hassle (anniversaries, birthdays, meeting parents etc) for very little pay off.

I had one until a few days ago...
*Sadface*
It wasn't the healthiest of relationships though, considering it was mostly physical, with barely any emotional connection.
And two weeks between breaking up and having a relationship doesn't exactly count as a rebound, especially considering it was about a month and a half long relationship.

Also, off topic a little here: 16 hours and 10 pages?
Wowzers...

How about all the gay men and straight women on the site? Shouldn't there be at least a N/A option for them?

Got smacked in the face with taking relationships too seriously at a young age, then got my act together. Problem is i'm not sure whether i want something casual and shallow, or a deep meaningful relationship, and i really don't have the chance to choose right now, contrary to what friends tell me.
It does not help that every girl i feel remotely worth trying a relationship with is in one already. =P
And i'm 17.

Nope, and I never have.

You'd think that would depress me somewhat, but to be honest, I could care less.

I do indeed.
And somehow, she has put up with my nonsense and whatnot for nearly three years.
She deserves some kind of medal.
Same feeling except she has put up with me for nearly two years, so she shall get the bronze.

I am currently in the process of trying to get one maybe, I met her last week and haven't stopped texting her since, going very well, should be seeing her again soon. Never had a proper girlfriend though, casual encounters that never led to anything but that about it. This one shows promise though. Wish me luck Escapist.

I didn't vote for the record, but it is reassuring to see so many of you with girlfriends, proving those stereotypes wrong.
