Oh Canada, Our home and native land.
True patriot love, in all our sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise, our true north strong and free
From far and wide Oh Canada we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land, Glorious and free.
Oh Canada we stand on guard for thee.
Oh Canada we stand on guard, for, thee!

Do i feel strong emotions? Yes. I love my country and am patriotic. Which means when my government does something stupid I do what I can to try and reverse it until i hit the brick wall that is "Pfft, it doesn't matter, our government is evil anyways"

I only know the first part

Wilhelmus van Nassouwe
Ben ik van Duitsen bloed
Den vaderland getrouwe
Blijf ik tot in den dood

Een prinse van Oranje
Ben ik, vrij onverveerd
Den koning van Hispanje
Heb ik altijd geëerd

The lyrics make absolutely no sense at all in this day and age, but whatever.

I'm not much of a patriot. I like my country, but I don't think it's anything special just because I was born here.
Oh come on now. You don't want to have Frans Bauer's "Heb je even voor mij?" do you? :p

*Edit: Maybe fun to know (no impoliteness intended towards you, Hurr Durr) but the word "Duits" is a degenerate of the word: "Diets" which gave us the name Dutch.
Don't know what Frans Bauer has to do with anything...

And yeah, I know about the Diets thing, but that doesn't mean it suddenly all makes sense. What do I care about the king of Spain?

I know most of the words to God Save the Queen, but I couldn't get them in the right order. That said, we hardly ever hear it in this country, and it's a shit anthem anyway.

I am, however, a patriot and I love my country. Just not that particular anthem.

Nope since Flower of Scotland doesn't really come up alot since its always the British national anthem that gets played at events etc.

"God save our gracious queen" - uh she isn't our queen really..

I'm not very patriotic, so I don't think I've actually tried in the last year or two. After 2 tries I got it though. It's not hard.

National anthems aren't all that hard to remember, really. Songs are effective mnemonic devices and the anthems are often intended to propagate a message. At the very least, you'll get most of the words right if you've sung them 3 or 4 times in your life.

Come to think of it, no wonder America is so heavy on its military considering our national anthem is one that recreates a battle.

Long live our noble Queen!
God save the Queen!
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us,
God save the Queen.

There are many more verses to this anthem btw, including :
Lord, grant that Marshal Wade,
May by thy mighty aid,
Victory bring.
May he sedition hush,
and like a torrent rush,
Rebellious Scots to crush,
God save the King.

No, I don't really know the anthem... i can mumble "God save our glorious", etc, but thats about it.

And heeeeellls no, I don't do patriotism. Love for a bit of earth causes more problems than its worth.

est Europa nunc unita
et unita maneat;
una in diversitate
pacem mundi augeat.

semper regant in Europa
fides et iustitia
et libertas populorum
in maiore patria.

cives, floreat Europa,
opus magnum vocat vos.
Stellae signa sunt in caelo
aureae, quae iungant nos

the european one :D i think i would get the czech together if i had to under the pain of death, but like from the top of my head...no. why should i? patriotism is for people who have nothing else to feel proud of due to the lack of acomplishments and need to feel superior and good about something at least.

Our national anthem is pretty easy but I love it all the same. I think its funny that some people can't remember it.

I'm not terribly patriotic but this song really does make me proud of the land I call home.

Yes, but I did choir in middle school and high school, and we sung it a few times at games and such. If I hadn't done choir... I might still know it. You never know.

Yes America's isn't hard to remember considering you hear it all the time.
