Poll: Do you like Camping?

Last time I went camping my tent was attacked by a hoard of raccoons and a heard a cougar nearby all in one night. So to answer your question, I hate camping, and camping hates me.

Turned out the entire week consisted of me going to an entirely empty school. To this day I get nightmares of being dragged back to that fated class camping trip. I say run. Far and fast. Well I'm not compelled to answer honestly, as any such endeavor would probably result in me being punished liberally by the mods. So i'll leave out the potentially offensive bits as is possible.

I have no problem with a personal touch, as indicated by my profile.

What I'm not a fan of is vain artistic self portraits coupled with the arrogance of those in their mid-teens.

But then I don't really expect you to change it, nor do I really have any objection to you as a person; just the way you represent yourself annoys me.
For all I know, you could be a great guy who really is extremely attractive to 'girls'.
An optimist I am not.

Being a Boy Scout, I've been going camping every month and after a while you just get used to it.

I like camping, but only if it's on a camp ground that actually has bathrooms. Seriously, digging a latrine, or pooping in a bucket is not my idea of fun. Still, I do like the outdoors, and have quite a bit of survival experience.

If you go camping in places without bathrooms enough, your body eventually adjusts. I've gone a week without going once.

Depends on what you consider camping. If you are talking about going to a campground setting up a tent next to your car, and trying to ignore the people 30 feet away doing the same, then no. I don't like it.

Now hiking up to a lake for some fishing in the mountains is something I enjoy now and again.

My friends can't buy booze, my family can.

I love camping, and not the kind where you living in a mobile home, but the kind where you pitch a tent and there is no electricity. Of course I like to have an outhouse and a water pump nearby but I like spending time in the great outdoors.
