Yeah, but my family and the other people I usually camp with are pretty much camping purists. I bring my Gameboy while driving to the campsite and they get upset. Personally, I've found that even playing my DS is better in the outdoors, so I find that very little actually decreases the experience of camping, no matter how much technology is involved. Not that I make that a habit of that: I don't. Though, for the heck of it, I am probably the only person to play a song on Elite Beat Agents on the very peak of Mt. Writing, on a computer or whatever, is totally ok by me.Thaius said:I actually really enjoy camping: my problem is with the people who think that the mixture of camping and technology is some kind of unholy sin that absolutely cannot happen. Not a single argument for that is valid, especially when I bring my laptop for the sole purpose of writing (something that I do unspeakably better on a keyboard than on paper). As long as I'm allowed to bring my technology with me, I really like camping.
Bingo. Normally I hate camping and the outdoors, but there's this stunningly attractive woman friend of mine who, if she asked me to go camping with her, I'd readily accept. Wouldn't even have to have sex with her---she's just a great companion and having the great outdoors to just sit and chat over a scenic mountain view would be better than sex.DividedUnity said:I only like camping if theres girls involved.
Amen! It's def a different experience, and so much more rewarding! Though it can be hard to get people to try it out at first!thiosk said:Camping is awesome.
As long as there is no running water and utilities-- roughing it is the way to go.
