Poll: Do you like Halo 3?

I always see people on the escapist saying how much the LOATH Halo 3 for no apparent reason. I would like to know who enjoys playing Halo 3 and who doesn't. Why do you like it? Why don't you like it? Please explain.

Yes, I enjoy it. Its a fun game from time to time, with a large amount of online options. People hate it because they need something to hate - they claim its because of the fanboy's or the hype - both of which if they were more competent individuals they would ignore.

I know competent is not the right word to use in this situation, but I cannot think of a more suitable one.

I do enjoy playing Halo 3, but not as much as when it first came out. I can still happily play Halo 1 and 2, but having to trod through those stupid speech interruptions really pissed me off. And I stopped playing online when CoD 4 was released, and never went back.

I just played through it yesterday with a friend, its short, the cutscences are boring, it felt very unoriginal, the stuff they added no one would notice if they were gone. Multiplayer sucks, I preffer more tactic in my multiplayer games, not just run around shooting everything shaped unlike yourself.

Yes... but I don't consider it the best thing since sliced bread and Halo "fans" tend to annoy me when the topic is brought up. It's not brilliant... but it's a perfectly serviceable game with a fun... but shallow plot.

I loath it, for reasons, many reasons.

I love Halo Combat Evolved, but I detest Halo 2 and 3.

Sure. Great story mode with a nice variety in the locals and enemies. Multiplayer has had constant support with tons of released content, plus user created content. Plus theatre mode and skulls to add to longevity. All in all a great game.

Now, can we please leave Halo 3 alone? It came out two bloody years ago.

Because, more often than not in my experience, people just say thay they dislike it without giving a reason. He isn't saying there's a hatewagon in this thread, but there is one in general, much as there is for a large number of other games.

It's a hatewagon, because FEW people just give legitimate reasons, and the rest tag along because they can't play it.

I loved Halo and played it all the time but then I got ALL of the original achievements and everyone started to be just a camping noob, sniper whore or just wasn't a challenge , so I stop playing it.

It's a hatewagon, because FEW people just give legitimate reasons, and the rest tag along because they can't play it.

Well that's true, but that happens with every game, some people just do it to be trolls, I mean, I liked halo 2's multiplayer, but when I played Halo 3, it just seems, like a DLC for Halo 2, it just feels like they are squeezing as much money as they can out of the franchise before they leave it dead in a shallow pond as soon as they come up with a halo guitar game or something.

I sometimes enjoy it. I hated the single player campaign. I found it boring with certain parts just being repetitive. Multiplayer is good, and I am starting to warm up to the forge now.

I voted 'never played it' but from the impressions I've gotten, it seems good machinima-wise and bad gameplay-wise (and yes, I am including the multiplayer)
