Which ever I feel like, chances are it'll be whatever Microsoft is working on, and it's be from a pawn shop about 4 years after it's released.

I'll probably go with current configuration also in next generation cycle.
Means enthusiast PC + PS4 + Next Xbox.
Served me pretty well in the past.

However depending on what Sony and Microsoft have in stores this plan is easily changed.

Nope. Haven't bought a console since the PS2. except the Wii as it had a point to me buying it.
As I have a PC, buying a Microsoft console would definitely be a pointless waste of money - if what I've heard about Windows 8 is true [May be the one reason I'd install it on my old, crappy laptop], and Sony would have to put out some absolutely legendary games to justify me touching their console.
I really see no point in buying a console next gen though. It will be more expensive than upgrading my computer, it has inferior possibilities and specs, and would get used very rarely as my family generally use the TV for watching television, and a console would just sit there gathering dust.

This generation I'm switching to pc only. While I am certainly very happy with my xbox 360, but for me there are more pros on the PC than the pros of the consoles.

I'm usually a early adopter in regards to my console of choice. However, the way gaming has gone this generation, odds are for me it will be quite a while into the next before I get one of them, but if I do it's likely a PS4.

I will get the WiiU and maybe one of the others. It's really too soon to decide for any of the other systems. Sony doesn't even want to mention that the PS3 isn't the most powerful piece of hardware in existence and that it's ready to be upgraded, Microsoft seem to be thinking of something, but they wont announce a new console yet. I don't follow the console, I follow the games. I know Nintendo will offer me the kind of games I have always enjoyed, MicroSoft or Sony might offer something I want and then I will have to decide then. I have a gaming computer good enough to run most games on high settings so I am likely going to get all third party titles anyway.

I might consider it. I will not be buying one on release, but I might after they have been around for a while, the prices drop and the established communities can give me an honest idea of their features.

It depends on whether or not there are games released for them that I decide I can absolutely not live without playing.

My mates play xbox, so i reckon i'll find it worth getting the 720 or whatever they call it, same way it was worth me getting the 360.

Been with consoles since the Atari 2600. I see no reason change now.

Never got into PC gaming. I do not see is as a way to prove I'm more mature.

Will definitely be buying a WiiU hands down no questions asked. I'll most likely get a PS4, as long as there's a new LittleBigPlanet or something equally worth it.

If this generation is any indication of what the next generation will bring, then no, I probably won't get any of them. The major manufacturers are going to have to pull a hell of console out of their asses to convince me it's worth it.

Actually, I guess my answer is a bit inaccurate as I want to get the Ouya.

I ended up with a PS3 and Wii this generation. It's safe to say I'll do the same next gen.

As of today though, I'm not remotely interested in anything next gen.
Inevitably though, as the games come out and prices drop I'll give in. I always do.

I don't trust Microsoft to bring out a stable console. I'll only consider their next gen machine if there's no major problems after about 3+ years.

i may get a PS4, i'd get a second gen console (to let them iron out the bugs and let the price drop), i've never been disappointed with my playstation consoles so far, i had a PS1 for 8 years and then sold it (it worked fine) i had a chunky PS3 for 7 years and traded it in for a slimline (fat one worked great, slimline is still going strong) I've had my PS3 for 4 1/2 years and it's going like a house on fire. My consoles have never had any makor issues, so if i was going to get one of the next gen consoles, it'd be a PS4.

Probably not. I hardly play on consoles and I don't like the direction consoles seem to go to. At least with the PC I have...options to not have to deal with always online DRM and only digital sales and the like.

I think I'll stick with my PC, its reliable, cheap games, does loadsa stuff etc. However there's a slim chance I'll get a PS4 simply because most of the good anime related games are on there.
