I'll probably buy Microsoft's new console even though I primarily game on PC (for streaming video and the occasional game).

Judging by the poll it looks like there are a lot of people joining the "PC gaming master race." Welcome to the fold ;)

likely to get a next xbox as every other friend has a 360, some have PC gaming rigs and one has a PS3. after a year or so i'll get a PS4 though i'll probably be in a new PC soon as the current one is kinda falling apart.

Certainly not if they come out any time soon. I don't a new console, my PS3 runs great and there is still loads of good games for it I havn't got yet.

but hopefully by the time they come out I'll be finished college and have gotten a good job. Maybe then I'll get one. I might get the Microsoft one because I've hever had an Xbox myself so maybe some variation would be nice.

...No. Probably not, actually XD

Not until the consoles are 'outdated' anyway. I plan on picking up a 360 when they become cheaper then bread (which may be soon). I liked the Wii, and god knows it has some amazing games, but I've been less than impressed with the other two. Between Steam and the App Store, I fail to see why I should buy either of the other options. I think I'm stuck on the computer, Wii and virtual console for now, which I'm perfectly fine with. I still have far to many games left to complete.

I'm still kind of excited for what the future holds, as always, but I never see new things that make me froth at the mouth anymore. Plus, polycount means jack to me.

Probably none since I don't like or agree where the games industry is heading. I'm not sure i can live with being an elitist fuckwit either so chances are that i'll probably drop out of gaming entirely.

I'll get myself a wife to play on instead

I'm sticking with the Microsoft consoles. I'm too comfortable with them to want any change. And I've tried PC gaming, but I just can't get used to it.

None, nothing, nope, nada, zip, nil, [/b]NO![/b]

I am planning to build my own PC and join the master race, the next generation of consoles is going to really suck.

The WiiU is a little on the 'meh' side for me; unless they release a new Zelda or Paper Mario RPG, I'll just wait for my sibling to get it.

I am interested in getting the PSVita and the 3DS XL, so I'll probably get either of them at the end of the year. I'm not sure what the PS4 or Xbox 720 will offer, but I would most likely get the PS4 and even then, it will be a while after it has been released.

I have yet to actually plan on anything. I just got a new laptop that plays the games I like quite well so I have a lot of catch up to do on mmorpgs and minecraft and stuff. I might pick up a console once the libraries expand and they start offering JRPGs that I enjoy (i.e Disgaea and Tales series), but until then, I probably won't buy one. I don't think I have ever bought a console within a year of it's release. Ever.

Been with consoles since the Atari 2600. I see no reason change now.

Never got into PC gaming. I do not see is as a way to prove I'm more mature.
That is some first class ignorance right there. Owning a console or PC doesn't make you more mature, its what kind of gaming experience you would prefer. Right now the console's experience is getting more crappy with each passing year while the PC is staying strong. Also I too have been with consoles since Atari 2600 and i've bought every generation of console's since, but I was also not a snob enough to try the PC and found it to be a better experience on many levels.

Yes. Most likely...
I haven't used my PC for gaming in years. Doesn't seems like I will start now.

At this time I have no plans to buy any of the next gen consoles. This is mostly due to finances, but also because I'm very quickly losing all faith in gaming and the gaming industry.

I looked at all of them and wondered what my advantages buying one were. Nothing! I'm going PC next gen.

At this point, I'm sticking with my PC. Maybe an Ouya, if it actually comes down before I break down and just buy another Android movie player (I don't have high hopes for Ouya's gaming future, but it has its potential in other areas).

Between the firmware wars, goddamn ads on my consoles, and the general scumminess that pervades all of the major players mixed with the dearth of really compelling games, I honestly feel like my life wouldn't be too bereft if the entire games industry collapsed today (I'd sigh and pour one out for Torchlight 2 and demand my $60 from ArenaNet, but that's about it). I've got a backlog going back 15 years that will be more than enough to carry me to the grave.

Why would I buy some shitty PC-wannabes?
I have a gaming PC. I can always keep it ahead of whatever consoles come out.

Needs a "maybe" option. Right now, I'm considering dropping 500 bucks on my PC in upgrades and then skipping the consoles entirely, but I'm not certain what I'll do.

I doubt I'll buy a WiiU, and since my friends prefer the 360 to the PS3 I'm more likely to buy the neXtBox, but...No clue, really.

NO!

The games I'm interested in these days are mostly indie games on the PC. I barely use my ps3 for anything other than watching Netflix.

On top of that, Sony's "You paid for it but you don't actually own it. We can take whatever features away we want at any time we want" attitude have ruined me on consoles. I'm not dropping 500 bucks for something and then told I don't own it. Screw you Sony.

I have no interest what so ever in the next generation.

I'm primarily a PC Gamer, but I enjoy the occasional game on my console. I would consider buying a nex-gen console as a supplementary machine for the occasional exclusive and/or game that is just better in its native environment, but with the death of all the video rental stores I'm starting to lean against it. Renting a title for $7-8 was what made such a purchase salient. I'm not remotely interested in paying $60-70 every time I want to try a new game, when I can get PC games in a Steam sale for $6-7. If they come up with some streaming rental model I'll consider giving it a look, but I don't trust them to make it particularly friendly.
