I enjoy having about 4 or 5 drinks, Any more than that tends to make me depressed.

As you know alcohol can be very more-ish which is why I try and avoid buying straight liquor but the problem is that I cant stand the taste of beer or wine.. so I usually buy bourbon RTD's which are taxed so badly here, A six-pack of bourbon RTDs will set you back by 20-$25, for $10 more you can buy a 750mL bottle of straight whiskey which will give you about 20-25 drinks.. The reason they do this is because they know alot of younger people buy RTD's..atleast they used to..these days they buy straight whiskey :p well done australia

I don't usually have more than 5 shots worth of alcohol over the course of a night. I have on occasion (open bar) gone above that, doesn't usually end well. Plus it makes me pee like crazy. It's definitely harder to see how much you're drinking when you get mixed drinks. Bars have different standards. I've been some places where a Jack and Coke is a shot of Jack in 4-6 oz of Coke. Other places it's more like 2 shots.

Drinking itself is not fun.
Sitting at home drinking vodka alone is not my idea of a good time.

Getting into a social situation where people are normally drinking is what is fun.
I tend to only drink at occasions, but also at gatherings like BBQs and stuff.
In those situations, it's fun. I will usually have 4-5 drinks, but I never get more than tipsy.

I don't enjoy any amount, in fact just one sip will make me vomit, though I'm pretty sure that's because I have it well engraved in my mind that it is bad, normally I think I wouldn't care but considering that my family from my mother's side is a brewer family, most specifically Tequila, 3 different Tequila brewers and my father is a wine connoisseur, I'm actually considered kind of a disappointment, and I have tried drinking all sorts of stuff, but really I can't stand the taste of any of it, it's like my body rejects it, but at least it's not Diet Coke which my body rejects by shooting it out of my nose.

Hell yes I enjoy drinking. Good beer or good bourbon can make a night great all on their own.

I love drinking, although I only drink with friends and I only really do it because it makes everything seem better for a while, plus the confidence boost is useful when you get dragged into dancing...

The only thing is I only like shots, cider or alcopops.. usually the more expensive drinks at bars

I am verry happy when i am drunk, I feel like im on top of the world (at social gatherings, i dont drink alone). Unfortunately, the loss of control over my judgement scares the hell out of me (your life can be ruined in so many ways). As such, i very rarely drink anymore compared to my college days. In fact im usually one of the few sober people in my family during a holiday celebration.

Plus side, the money i save from cutting back allows me to buy more games.

I like drinking, but I'm terrible at it and I'm an incredibly cheap drunk.
Lately though, I've been practicing a little more self control because I don't like the taste vomit leaves in the back of my throat.

Look, it's all about atmosphere. The drink is essential, but it's all about drinking WITH someone.

I very much enjoy a good drink, in fact I am off out drinking with the girls from work this very evening.
Plus as it's actually sunny for once I think a few ciders in the garden this afternoon with a good book might well be in order.

Yes, I'm out drinking with some friends once a week. I don't drink by myself at home though. Would be pretty depressing.
Beer have always been my main drink. Never been the biggest fan of it, but I recently started experimenting a bit by not just going for the cheapest beer there is. Once you add a few coins for the better brands you can really tell the difference.

I enjoy going out drinking with friends, not so much the drinking itself. I've never had alcohol without company.

I'm 22, Australian, and never had a drink nor do I intend to. My friends and family have tried to convince me but I refuse to so much as try. This comes across as very narrow minded to some people, to others they actually applaud me. Even when they drink themselves. But I have no problem with others drinkings, I even buy my friends drinks. It's just not for me.

Do I like beverages? Why yes I do. If you mean drinking alcoholic beverages purely because they're alcoholic, then no. I'll drink socially with some friends, but I don't drink "just because" or whatever.

I enjoy drinking with friends, we go out or have a get together at a house once, maybe twice, a week.
How much we drink really depends on the night. Sometimes we have a couple of beers or glasses of wine and leave it at that, other nights vodka and chartreuse may get involved. It really does depend on the atmosphere and the occasion.

On behalf of our Motherland, i exile you on the grounds of Rampant Un-Austrailanism.

Please take your weak, embarrassing liver somewhere more appropriate.

I will recommend New Zealand, or England.

I would have thought that exile to France would be most appropriate, but i wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy :)

OT - As an Australian of Irish descent, drinking is in my very blood.
As a teenager i would binge drink, but now im in my tweens, im alot more relaxed about it. Still, an average night on the town can range anywhere from 8-16 beers.
As i am more aware of my limits now, i cant even recall the last time i threw up from alcohol.
Still, alcohol is not my substance of choice. As a gamer (in particular, JRPG's), id prefer something a little more chilled out....

I enjoy drinking, whether it's socially, or just wanting to enjoy a nice beer after my dinner. But I have two self enforced rules about the matter that I follow. I don't drink alone, and I only drink something if I like it's taste or texture.
