I enjoy a pipe, especially if I'm reading outside.

However, the thing takes so long to pack and light properly that I only smoke once every several months.

No, I don't and I proably never will. I personally think it's a disgusting habit. A few people I know in my age group (15-17) do it, and when I found out I lost some respect for them.

More than that: people die and its their own fault, before they realise the amount of damage done, its too late.

And I also influenced them all to stop smoking.

I smoked for a few years, not much but enough to mean I was a smoker. Gave it up though, what's the point? I occasionally get the craving but never succumb.

For anyone who wants to quit cold turkey is the way to go.
