Quit because I hit level 80 and within 3 hours was more then half epiced...they made the game to easy! Naxx took about 3 tries to clear, then i quit because it was to easy and borring. Not to mention the ammount of stupid I had to encounter since all the BC kids switching to horde...ugh, they just took all challenge of the game away. I miss pre BC, when a solid epic person was very rare.

Played WoW since release and still play. Granted I have stopped playing and cancelled my account a few times. Vanilla WoW (Pre BC) was awesome. Community was excellent and the guilds I was in had a fantastic time struggling through the raiding (yes because struggling to achieve something makes it all worthwhile). Casuals (would say I'm half and half) would whine about not being able to see all the content but thats half the reason it was good, being able to see just 1 of a certain weapon made things exciting and something to aim for not the everyone has the same stuff just different colours that it is now.

Yes I still play but recently rerolled with friends, new server, new faction, new class. About the only way to keep interested. BC was dire and WOTLK is just not what it once was. I still enjoy it but miss 40 man raids MC and BWL so much. Have tried WAR and LOTRO but they just haven't got the movement which makes WoW so good. Right now I'm now just waiting for Old Republic and Diablo 3.

I HATED brd. The story, the lore, the crap drops.
To know how to play is ideal, but it shouldn't be so socially exclusive to encourage "Common talent specializations" to be MANDATORY.

I still play, but I got burnt out on raiding at the end of BC. I just got burnt out doing BT over and over and over again for months and months. It has become my least favorite raid instance other than MC, the place is crap. Poorly designed, way too long, too much trash, boring boss fights. Doing that instance killed raiding for me period. After the MONTHS we waited for new content Sunwell finally came out, and that was enjoyable. Finally some high paced fights, first since Kael. It was a good instance, but the damage had already been done.

Once Wrath came out and raiding stopped I realized I had no desire to continue and I'm glad I did. Naxx is terrible (I PuG it occasionally when my guild does alt runs or whatever for quick gear and badges). Far too easy, half my guild pretty much quit because of that instance. They came back for Ulduar, and that has piqued their interest, but hardmodes are a fundamentally flawed design for any serious raider. Nobody feels as good when you down a boss you kill in a few hours, and nobody really cares for doing the same exact thing, only a little harder. Gone are the weeks and weeks spent on C'thun, the Four Horsemen (in vanilla) or Kael pre nerfs and because of that, gone is the sense of accomplishment and excitement.

Now I am a pvp arena fag, and I love my precious free time =D

I play because all my friends do.
Only recently got into it again after about 6 months of not playing whilst everyone was away at uni/abroad ect. (Just before summer, that sucks lol)

Dont even think I like the game, much prefer real RPGs and FPSs, but the social aspect keeps me there.

I stopped playing, mainly due to my friends were all offline all the time and my guild became offline too pretty much prior to WOTLK.
I'll probably go back to playing it when i get sick of all the other videogames i own, which wont be a while since my girlfriend just bought me Red Faction.

I usually "quit" after a month or so of play, then come back in about another month. Stops the game getting stale.

i played burning crusade and had a hell of a time, when i heard about WOTLK i was gung-ho about it, but when i actually played it they added so much new crap the game just seemed stale and weighed down, like the had strayed from wat made the game popular in the first place, so i quit and haven't played since

Quit because with each patch the game seemed to care less about teamwork and focused more on repetition. Boring.

I play, my girlfriend plays, my best friends all play and it's still cheaper than going to the movies!

I quit 5 months ago. I enjoyed doing the alterac valley battleground, but was pretty much killed when wotlk came out (in my opinion) and strand of ancients wasn't what I had hoped it would be. Plus with the changes to the warlock class really killed my interest in the game. Haunt was nice but taking paranoia from the felhound (I forget what its called) put me off (plus other things) and I didn't feel like leveling a new character. So I moved on and haven't played another mmo since. I've seen warhammer online and age of conan, they just looked too similar to catch my interest.

I remember slogging my way up to level 60 around the time of the Ahn Qiraj (sp) event. My interest began to wane after I picked up Burning Crusade - I think I got up to level 65 before finally quitting. I find the game to be quite boring and tedious and I absolutely hate the grind (so much so that I find grinds in console RPGs to be a chore). Out of curiosity, I restarted back in August and picked up WOTLK. I recall getting my new character to level 24 before I once again got bored and quit.

Yes and No. I'm on WoW Hiatus at the moment due to school. But when summer vacation rolls around, I'll be back on Bladefist.
