Poll: Do you take food/drink into cinemas?

I do, but I'm allowed to since I work there, and it doesn't make sense paying my own paycheck. I make sure to pick up my own damn trash, though, which I wish people would do if they brought their own crap.

EDIT: And yeah, prices are high for food and drinks because that's where the money comes from to pay the people who work there. We don't make shit off ticket sales, our pay comes from when people buy drinks and popcorn.

They probably charge high prices because people sneak food into the theater. But still, damn them! I picked occassionally because I'm usually not in the mood for food or drink while I payed a lot for a movie. Mostly whenever I go to the cheaper theater, I'll bring some candy or something.

No. I work at a cinema and hate it when people come in with big bags of crap and I have to clean up all the mess. Chewits and other individually wrapped sweets are the worst. I'm not paid to clean up mess people have brought with them.

Ethics about sneaking in food aside, people ought to have the common human decency to take their garbage with them. I sympathize with you. I work at an amusement park, and last time I checked, my job was neither "paper cup collector" nor the related "yellowjacket wrangler".

I never buy stuff from the cinema, it's always so expensive, never stopped me taking my own stuff though. It's not quite 'going to the movies' without popcorn. ;-D

Occasionally I do. Sometimes I can get free popcorn and a drink. :3 Also I get in for free all the time. xD I know the people that work at the cinema that I go to. Lol. It's awesome! Although when the manager is working I get charged as an old person. haha. Still cheap though. =P

Likewise. Food in the cinemas themselves cost way too much. It's much better to bring your own; I make an exception for the popcorn and maybe a drink, but that's about it. That said, I don't think the stuff over here is quite as expensive as in the US, but it's still exorbitant.

I'll still buy the movie popcorn but if I have a female friend coming in to the movie with me we'll go to a dollar store, load up on 60 cent iced tea and put it in her purse. 5 bucks for fountain drinks is ridiculous.

I don't buy things in the movie theater unless I'm really craving popcorn or something. Usually I like to buy food in the food court of the mall (since our theater is attached to it) and then sneak that in and eat while watching the movie.
