No MLK Day, no Christmas, no Thanksgiving, etc. I strongly believe that we have too many holidays. I don't have anything against them, I just believe that when you celebrate too many, they become less significant. For example, how many of you celebrated MLK day? How many of you celebrate St. Patricks day, etc, etc?needausername said:Martin Luther King day?mokes310 said:No, I believe that here in the US, we should only have five official holidays: Memorial and Labor Day, New Years Day, Presidents Day and the Fourth of July. Any other holiday should not recieve national recognition.
My point is that if we celebrate fewer holidays, we will in-turn celebrate them more and appreciate them more. Does that make any sense?
